Nose bleeds

I don't get nose bleeds unless I'm pregnant and then they are fairly common. I had one the other night and again last night but I didn't wake for the last one. In the am I was wiping out the blood and had some in my throat.

Fast forward to now - I had another and I had some in my throat when I spit. But I also coughed out what looked like a large blood clot.

Since we're all doctors here...does this sound serious or probably just a build up in the throat?

Anybody else have experience with nose bleeds - pregnancy related or not?

    I used to get nosebleeds in the mornings when I woke up. Dr. said more blood in my system during pregnancy contributed to that. She had me sleep with a humidifier on, and use a non-medicated saline nasal spray before bed and when I woke up. That helped quite a bit!

    I would guess it is build up in your throat but if it happens frequently I would talk to your doctor...

    I was getting nosebleeds and the saline spray has helped me so far...

    I've been getting nose bleeds too. Humidifier saves my life these days!!! I have one with a spot for Vicks vapor pads and I use that a couple times a week to clear me out a bit. So glad to have that humidifier!
