I ran into this problem with designing my DS' nursery 4 years ago, too. I have a plan in mind. I look all over for what I want and I finally find it, but it's from the most expensive boutique.
First world problem...I know. For my son I ended up buying the fabric and having a friend make curtains and a bed skirt. I think in the end I spent just as much as I would have if I had bought from the boutique. Gah.

Re: Why do I always have expensive taste
I also have the same problem. I pinned an outfit on pinterest the other day, then clicked the pic to see how much the top was... $895. I had a good old chuckle at myself.
Eta:re Carousel, I got tunnel vision and NEEDED a specific shade if coral! Oh pregnancy hormones.

I saw this same glider. It is a gray, swivel, reclining glider. It is super nice!

:-?
What I really want, though, is that $1000+ gray glider from Land of Nod. Seriously the most comfortable thing I've ever sat in in my entire life.
ETA: words are harrrd
I found 2 brands new WC Tulas in a thrift store. I paid $2 for them, They still have the inspection stickers on them.
I sold one for almost five hundred, & I sold the second one for retail which was about 300, because I was feeling nice.
OMG! I have nothing else to say.
