Worrisome bumps explained

About a week and a half ago I noticed two dark purplish bumps on my inner labia, one of which looked irritated. I thought they might be from ingrown hairs, then began to worry as the area was sore. I waited to ask my doctor about them at my appointment earlier this week, and right when she looked at them she said they were blood vessels (by this time they had gotten smaller). I had read that this could be an issue in that area, but I didn't think that's what blood vessels would look like--small raised bumps--and so instead imagined the worst. Just sharing in case anyone else has a similar issue and is concerned.

    Yep had those my last pregnancy. Mine were almost black, I thought they were moles. I looked closer and saw they were really dark red. They went away and reappeared in different spots throughout 3rd tri and a few months pp.

    Thanks for the support! Yeah, probably if it had happened this week I'd be have to just go by feel. I'm glad not to be secretly freaking out anymore--my DH gets so worried about the smallest thing I find myself downplaying my concerns just so we don't feed off of each other. Thank god I have this board--I was thinking it would be funny to see the most searched terms on here, given what I've tried to look up during the past few months!

    I only opened this thread because I was curious what yoga pose you were doing to see your vag. I lost mine weeks ago.

    Yikes--well, I didn't think that could be it but I did tell my DH that if he was lying about being tested years ago when we first met I'd be extremely pissed. I have no idea about the life span of various STDs, but like I said I was freaking out a little!
