wwyd? attachment issues

DS is attached to this mini blanket thing that has a flat soft pooh bear head attached to one corner. This just started in the past week. Its so crazy. He has to have this thing to sleep. He always has it in his hand or the crook of his arm. Well he also likes to pull it up to his face to sleep. When I pull it down or off he wakes up. Is it bad that he's so attached? How do I break him of covering one side of his face or the whole thing when he sleeps? Daycare has made me sign a wavier. She is worried about sids.

    Wow, I can't believe he is attached to something so early!  Maybe it smells like you and that is why he is so attached, try washing it.  It's probably a dumb suggestion that I completely made up but it's all I can think of ;)

    I wouldn't be concerned about the attachment issues....but the sleeping with it is a problem.  If you can just deal with getting it away during sleep I do not see any problem..,..but that will be the hard part and I unfortuately have no advice on how to do that (although I like pp).
