Sun bleaching = Magic... HUH?

So, what is the trick to sun bleaching?

DS1 never left a stain but DS2 is staining these suckers up.

I put the wet diapers out in the sun for two afternoons and the stain is still there.

What am I doing wrong?

I always put them out when they are dry or just a little damp. Works better on NB poo... how old is your LO? Is he on solids?

I have always heard wet is better, and seems to be true in my experience.

Stains will also fade over time with washing.

He is 9 months and just a few solids here and there. I have been lazy this time around.

1. They may not be free of all residue. 2. Put them out wet/or slightly wet. 3. The stain may not be gone but instead of putting it back on the bum, put it back in the pail, wash again next laundry cycle.

Always works for me and my kid has nasty black slimey Neocate poop. I sun a lot.
