I need fashion help

We have a wedding to go to tonight. I'm considering a navy blue dress I have. Can I wear a black sweater with it or is that a no-no. I feel like I can never remember if navy blue and black is ok. If I can wear the sweater, do I have to wear black shoes? I normally wear it with dark silver strappy heels or nude pumps.

Black and navy are ok these days according to the fashion powers that be. I love nude heels with navy, but not so much that combo with black.

If you're going with a black sweater, I say black shoes too. I don't LOVE black and navy together. You don't have an ivory/cream cardi or pashmina?

I honestly don't love them together either which is why I think I hesitate. It always seems like a bruise to me. I think I might have a cream pashmina now that you mention it! I'll have to check when I get home.
