They are (at least mine are), but not forgiving enough for a 2 day post-partum body. I'd wore yoga pants, a night nurse bra, a long-sleeve maternity t-shirt and an unzipped, zip-front sweater home.
i would say you might have better luck with a nursing bra, a maternity tank and a zip up hoodie. I wore just a three quarter sleeve shirt that showed my tummy and I'm not a fan of the pics
Fun story: I wore a nursing tank home (with a hoodie unzipped over it) and a crazy woman in the elevator looked at me, then at our newborn baby in the carseat, then back at my belly, pointed, and then asked us how THAT was possible. As if I was several months pregnant and yet had such a tiny baby. So, in summary, no, nursing tanks are not forgiving, so zip that hoodie! Annnddd...people can be really stupid.
I got a few nursing tanks, but never wore them because I felt so squeezed in. I may have just needed a larger size (I shudder to think), but the one I thought would fit was NOT comfortable.

Ditto exactly. I even wore mine a couple of times in the last couple weeks of pregnancy.
I wore a nursing tank home- I bought a couple of the Target tanks in a size up and wore those the first few days : )
