Busted DH Being Adorable

I was in the bedroom changing and had been on the phone with my mom and went I hung up I overheard DH talking to our cats about how they better be nice to their little sister when she gets here and telling them all about what babies are like while cuddled up on the couch with them. It was too cute, it brought tears to my eyes. It's silly but with how stressful things have been lately it's nice to see him excited about everything.

Any of you guys got any heart melty moments you wanna share about your husbands or other outside babies?

My DH is so excited to read to our little guy. He's been reading the in utero Suess book at night. The night before our due date he wanted to read it again bc he thought it might be the last time in utero. (Of course, that's not the case).

Now he rubs my belly and asks the boy when he's going to come meet us. Then he tells him all the fun stuff they're going to do together. It's very sweet!

That's super cute! One of our dogs has really bad jealousy issues and SO tells her that our LO will make things different but we still love her and that she has to be nice to her little sister it's precious.

My DH is always talking to my boys about the baby and what they should expect. Every night he tells them to kiss her goodnight, so they kiss my belly. Lately they boys have been talking to her and saying "it is time to come our now". We are all very excited to have a girl in the family.

All these stories make me want to cry!! DH has been really stressed out this pregnancy, but he has been talking to DD about being a big sister, and right now he's training her to try to climb out of baby bjorn pnp thing by herself. Ummm thanks for that!!

My DH will play with my belly button with my one year old. I know it sounds weird lol but he tells my little Emily that her baby sister lacy is waiting to come out and when she's done we just press this button (my belly button) and she comes out. So now every time E sees me she runs up, pulls up my shirt, pokes my belly button and giggles..

DH has been utterly adorable with our little guy. Today was his first day back at work, and when he came home, he immediately picked him up and started asking him about his day. It just makes me melt.

Oh and he has shown me how strong he is. When we finally took LO home, he broke down crying. He never showed me once during our pregnancy how scared he was and I'm so grateful for it.

Dh has been talking to DS about baby brother telling him how this will be his best friend. He says its going to be just like him and uncle mike, etc.....so cute! Now that he is here just listening to him talk to him about how much we wanted him and how much his big brother loves him makes my heart swell with love and pride.

My DH says I love you to our LO when we go to bed, but the other night he told her that he wasn't going to say it again until he could in person. I thought it was cute. He is very ready for her to arrive, well we both are since our due date was yesterday!

Remember that song "Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting" well DH sings "All the babies are kung fu fighting" and rubs my belly whenever he's moving around a bunch. And he doesn't just sing he makes noises and does kung fu chops and stuff, it's hysterical to watch. I tell DH he's moving around a lot trying to drown out his awful singing but honestly I love it!

We finally set up the crib and of course my cat Mable thinks we bought it for her. I walked past Baby's room to find my husband sitting on the floor singing to her while she laid in the crib. He said he wanted to practice a little!

When we were still in the hospital, hubby was working so that he could take his time off when she was home. So after he'd get off work and come to visit with her, he'd hold her and tell her ALL about his day and ask her if she slept and was growing like she was supposed to.

Now that she's home, H is still having trouble getting her to burp and it's kind of cute how he gets flustered and wants to be able to do it right. And of course seeing him feed her is adorable.

One night, our cat jumped up and laid on my hubby because she loves sleeping by him. The next morning, he told me he made himself stay awake for about 15 minutes just petting her, so that he could practice being awake with our baby once she's here!! Cutest thing ever.

Ok seriously this thread has me crying at work! :-) How sweet all of these are.

My DH told me the other day when he thinks about how it will be when our son is born he starts to tear up and he knows he will be a wreck when he actually gets here.

Yesterday I told him how I sort of feel weird that Saturday will be the last time we ever see our baby on an ultrasound. That its bittersweet for me. He said that he thinks it will be awesome because at this point he thinks its weird that our boy is just chilling in there, when he could be born and out already hangging out on the outside with us. He said how unreal it feels to fold his clothes and put together his furniture when he could actually be using them now.
