When are you/are you going to find out if you are having a baby boy or baby girl? My appointment to find out is in about a week! (I don't remember if this has already been a thread, if so SORRY!)
Also I'm due with a march 1st baby, so I know some of you aren't even thinking of this yet. But if you are please share:)

Mama to Rowan Sebastian and baby boy coming in April!
We're either doing the nursery in a mint and gray or lilac/purple and gray depending on sex.
I want to get the painting over with sooner rather than later so early US.
I'm refinishing my childhood furniture for the baby and trying to work in the accent color.

Agree. I could not possibly care less what junk my babies are sporting. But, thanks for declaring me full of shit (I'm not. I pooped today already).
Braggart! I haven't gone in a week
The same goes for shopping based on sex. If someone has an issue with a girl in boy clothes or vice versa then that sounds like their fucking problem. I wore boy clothes growing up and my neighbor wore girl clothes. It was great for swapping and he gratefully took all barbie gifts off my hands. I bet nobody saw that on an ultrasound at 20 weeks.
I feel like I'm missing some pertinent piece of info that makes everyone care about their child's crotch so much. If that's the case then PLEASE let me know what it is.
By posting about it on the internet you're asking for opinions and making it someone else's problem. Also, never once did I say anything about not wanting my baby to be healthy. That's obviously the most important thing to everyone with conscious thought.
If you want to care about something without any regard for consequences or social impact because you "just do" then fine, do that. I bet you will live a very meaningful life.

Of course we all want healthy babies and can rejoice in that, but I still want to know if we have a penis or vagina to work with. My H and I are still on the fence about circumsision.
I will be 16 weeks and a few days. I do not care either way, boy or girl, but we do not have blood test options through our OB, and I normally not a patient person.
We have our 12 week ultrasound September 15th, and I will finally have my chance to see our little munchkin. I cannot wait to see if our baby is doing well. The Oct 9th appointment is purely just for our amusement.
September 21, woooo!
<:-P
However in MY particular situation, I like knowing because we are Orthodox Jews and like most Jews, we have a Bris 8 days after a baby boy is born-I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this as a mom, but it is extremely stressful to BEGIN planning this huge event AFTER the baby is born!
Another reason is that many second time moms like to know if they're having the same sex as their first child because if they are, they don't have to buy much- they already have all the clothing and what not.
I don't have a problem with girls dressing in "boy" clothing and vice versa but MOST moms wouldn't choose that path for their child off the bat so as not to make their life more difficult. If THEY choose that path then great!
But I probably won't dress my baby boy in my daughters pink clothes his whole life just because I want to prove to people that I'm PC and good with boys dressing as girls and girls as boys.
