AW: T&Ps and question about SCB

Hi ladies, sorry to be an AW but it's been a rough day!

First off, I found out last night that my Mom has pancreatic cancer. She thought she just had an ulcer, but it turned out to be quite a large tumor. We are devistated. It's not good. We are still waiting to see what stage it is, but this type of cancer is quick and aggressive. Our goal is for her to make it to the birth of our rainbow, 7 months away. I am very close with my Mother, and am not prepared to lose her before I even turn 30. I need her still, I want my rainbow to know her. So,....that totally sucks. I'll update everyone when I know more.

Then I got a call about my results from my scan. She said everything was normal, but I do have a slight bleed. She said it was a SCB. I yelled "WHAT?!". She said it was normal, and not to worry. She stated it should resolve on its own, and my OB will see us at our apt. at the end of sept. ah! She also said no intercourse, and if I experienced spotting that would be normal but I could call. So please, tell me everything you know about SCB. I am terrified.

    no advise on SCB, but I hope it goes away quickly.

    I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I can't even imagine. Sending so many ((Hugs)) your way. You and your family are in my T&P.
    I also dont know anything about the SCB but I hope that it ends up being nothing.

    Diagnosed with PCOS and taking metformin 750 mg  twice a day
    April 2014 -  - 1st ICI Cycle - BFP 5/15/14 EDD: 1/20/15
    A/S 8-22-14 - Its a BOY!!
    12/15 Checkup & heard his beautiful heartbeat

    I am so sorry about your mom's diagnosis. T&Ps that it is early on in developing.

    I don't have any information on a SCB but wanted to offer some ((hugs)). Sorry you are having such a tough time.

    So sorry about your mom! Big hugs! I had S C H until 8 weeks resolved on its own. Now everything is perfect. Will keep you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers.

    I'm really sorry to hear about your mother. Hugs.

    I don't know much about the SCB but I have heard they usually resolve on their own. Please take it easy and take care of YOU!

    I'm so sorry, that is a terrible day! My husband's cousin is in recovery from battle with pancreatic cancer, and it is terrifying. I'm so sorry you and your family are dealing with that, and I will send t&p for her health.

    I don't know much about SCB, but it sounds like you're getting good care. Hope it works itself out soon!

    I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my dad 5 years ago. It saddens me that my children will never meet him. I do tell her about him but she is too young to understand why he is not here. I will keep her in my thoughts.

    I had a SCH with my last pregnancy. It resolved on it's own in about four weeks. I had spotting continuously. I think there was only a day or two it didn't happen. It definitely can be scary no matter what they say.

    Oh Hun! I am so sorry to hear about your mom! So many T&Ps. Reading this brought tears to my eyes. No advice on the SCB, but of course it is scary, and all so overwhelming, and I wanted to send ((hugs)) and lots of prayers.

    DS1 born 6/5/10 at 40 weeks via emergency c-section due to fetal distress and IUGR caused by placental insufficiency
    DS2 born still 8/28/13 at 32 weeks via emergency c-section due to a complete placental abruption - cause unknown
    Baby #3 on the way, EDD 2/29/16.  Originally twins, but we said goodbye to Baby B at 8 weeks.

    OMG I'm so sorry about your mum, that's such awful news. Sending T&Ps to your family. I haven't had experience with SCB but I know many of the women here have so I know you'll get good advice. Good luck with everything. Take care if yourself.

    I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, that must be incredibly scary. I hope her prognosis is the best it can possibly be and that she gets to meet your rainbow. 
    I don't have any SCB experience, but I have my fingers crossed for you! Please don't wait the whole month and be worried, make an "in between" appointment if you need reassurance!

    Prayers for your mom :)
    I too had a small SCB which also meant no intercourse. SCB are generally fine unless it is bigger than the gestational sac in which case your ob/gyn would have said this to you. In 97-99 percent of cases SCB go onto be healthy pregnancies which is no greater risk than a regular pregnancy. Are you on progesterone? This can help the SCB resolve etc. Maybe call your doc and ask. After all it can't negatively impact the pregnancy and can only help in other ways.

    I had a SCB and it basically resolved by week 9ish. Mine was near my cervix. I followed doctors advice (no heavy lifting/no intercourse/LOTS of water) and 200mg daily progesterone.

    I don't know much about SCB but I do know that there are quite a few ladies who had one and went on to have a very healthy pregnancy.  Sending you tons of T&P's!
