Jealousy?

At what age did you notice jealousy develop? Toy sealing?

Re: Jealousy?

  • All of a sudden when I hold my son my daughter gets pissed. I thought it was too early for jealousy, I guess not.

  • For me it was more like 13 months. They fight over my lap and over toys constantly!

At around 5 months they seemed to start noticing when I was holding their brother. Toy stealing started around the same time as crawling, so 7-8 months? When they started pulling up they started standing at the edge of the couch trying to pull the other off of me when I was nursing. And the past few weeks, if I'm holding one, the other wants on my lap too. I'm very loved ;)

Basically the same as all this. At 9 months I'm right in the thick of jealousy

  • Yup. Probably around 6-7 months and now at almost 11 they get really pissy with each other. If one wants a toy the other is holding they will scoot around on their butt and put their back to the other.

Awwww I loved that phase!! I felt like a mama bear w/ her cubs climbing all over her. :)

Yeah, the jealousy and toy-stealing happened when they got mobile....so 7ish months? Now at 20 months the competition is fierce for certain coveted toys.....not so fun.

Agreed with all of this as well! Its full on attack when I am on the floor with them, and Josie's look could kill when my husband is carrying Alex.
