2. Rants/Raves? I've been diagnosed with mild preeclampsia. Combined with LO's congenital heart defect there are a team of doctors keeping an eye on me and I'm not leaving the hospital until after delivery (whether the induction is at 39 weeks as planned or much sooner). Rave - I know I'm getting great care and everyone is looking out for both me and LO and balancing both of us as patients. Rant - I've only been in the hospital 2 days and I'm bored.
3. Upcoming appointments? Nope, done with appointments. I think they'll keep repeating blood work, 24 hour urine colletions, etc. to keep an eye on the pre-e.
4. Any other exciting news? Tuesday I was 4 cm, 30% effaced, -1 station. Whenever they decide the induction will happen I'm glad my body is at least partway there.
First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). First open heart surgery at 5 days old. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing. Third Son - due June 9, 2018
2. Rants/raves? I'm really nervous to have another baby. I'm worried about how DD will react, she will be two next Wednesday and completely mamma's girl. And I'm nervous about having another CS, I think it's the surgery part stressing me out. I think she's just my biggest worry bc other than that and the CS I'm super excited to meet my little guy! I have a few days left! I've also had the most painful contractions I've ever had in my life all night and into this morning.
3. Upcoming appointments? Today is my last appointment! I'm so excited!
4. Any other exciting news? My RCS is in 3 days!!! I'm scheduled for Monday, and DS and DD will have bdays three days apart.
38 weeks tomorrow!
Rant: I had terrible contractions all day Tuesday then DD spent the night in our bed kicking me and dh wouldnt put her back in her bed. Then Wednesday morning he got mad at me for not getting up and taking the dog out so he could sleep in with her. He got a long lecture about it last night and felt like a total jerk after.
Rave: state fair starts today and I wanna go get some funnel cake!
Appointment this afternoon hoping it goes well.

1. How far along are you? 37 weeks today- I am so excited to have hit this big milestone!
2. Rants/Raves? I am not sure if this is a rant/rave-but 3 cm, 70% effaced-so I guess all my contractions are finally starting to do something? For my actual rant, she is posterior (sunnyside up) and causing me so much back pain. I hope she rotates because I dread dealing with another delivery like DS's from a poorly positioned labor! Raves: My Mom comes into town tomorrow so we will have full coverage of DS when the time comes. Also, I officially made it through all the important stuff this week. I would appreciate it if she stayed put at least until next Wednesday because DS starts music on Monday and preschool at a new school starts Tuesday and I really want to be able to do both with him! The Drs. said it could be any day or it could be another week or so! DS was born at 38 weeks exactly, so only time will tell.
3. Upcoming appointments? My next appointment is Tuesday afternoon.
4. Any other exciting news?Just pretty excited to have made it to this point with another pregnancy dealing with PTL.
Good luck to all the other ladies. Keep us posted on the appointments! Sorry there seem to be several dealing with painful contractions!
Just wanted to check in with you ladies to let you know I had my baby this past Sunday.
Theodore Anthony was born on Sunday, August 31st weighing in at 7lbs 6ozs.
My labor did not go as planned. I had a scheduled induction and when they broke my water I ended up with a placental abruption. My pressure bottomed out and I had a crash csection. Teddy had some problems due to the abruption and has been in the NiCu since birth. I also needed two blood transfusions and only got discharged today.
We're still praying that there are no long term affects for Teddy but we don't know yet. All love and prayers are so greatly appreciated.
Good luck to the rest of you on your deliveries!! I'm still checking in everyone in awhile to see how everyone is doing.
