  Papp-A is not a condition, it's a screening test for Down's. Like the NT, it only gives you an idea of increased risk. What did your doc tell you?

  I have low PAPP-A levels that showed up in my sequential screening.

  Thats what he said? PAPP-A is only a part of the quad screen. It doesn't mean your baby must have Down's. Did you have any 1st tri tests?

  I don't think my baby has Downs, they said my levels for that was low! PAPP-A is pregnancy associated plasma protein A, so it's something they test for. Everything else was fine. Low PAPP-A levels in your body can cause your baby to have low birth weight.

  I was told that I have low PAPP-A too. The gentic counselor just said they would probably bring me in for another growth scan about 27-30 weeks to check and see how baby is growing. They are also going to keep a closer eye on my BP as low PAPP-A can sometimes predict pre-eclampsia.
