Seriously.

I came face to face with a freaking bear today! I was on the back deck with G in his stroller and my beagle off leash and I looked up and locked eyes with a bear strolling around the side of my house! Maybe 6 feet away. I was standing in front of the stroller and I reached down and grabbed my dog before she noticed it so she wouldn't agitate him and he just turned around, hopped the fence and walked away! Whew!!

My MIL got this pic leaving our place the other day, 2 houses down. The cub is super cute but stay away from mine, would ya?!

We get deer and turkey all the time but I'd panic if I saw a bear!

Scary and awesome, yes! I live in southwest Florida on 2 acres. We've had deer but the past few weeks the bears have really been roaming! I've seen the mom and cubs twice from afar, luckily the one I met today was solo. I'd love to hug a bear cub but...
