My mom will babysit my kids on occasion when DH and I have a date night. We haven't gotten the chance to go out yet but we will have her babysit both kids soon. We didn't leave DS1 overnight with her until he was 9 months old because I was breastfeeding until then and he wasn't a good sleeper. My UO- I will let DS2 stay over sooner than that, good sleeper or not, FF or EBF. Mama is going to need a break sooner than 9 months this time.
Even though H is getting a vasectomy, I kinda want to be on some BC anyway! I've only been on something for 8 years (minus 18 mos of pregnancy in there) and Damn I like knowing when my periods are coming, I love their almost absence on Mirena, etc! My non-BC periods aren't even bad, but I don't remember if they're super predictable, like down to the day like they were on external hormones!
I thought I would love the newborn phase. I hate hate hate it. I love DD but I cant wait until shes a little less needy.
This. I always feel terrible for thinking it. It's the sleep deprived side of me saying it though. Or else, I love the unlimited snuggles I get with him :x

This was me with DS1. I was so tired all the time and worrying about his sleep habits. Plus it's just a huge adjustment. With DS2, it's so much easier and I'm really going to miss the newborn phase.
I am liking the newborn phase and not ready for my baby to get any bigger. I am ready for the longer stretches of sleep though. I hope I still feel this way once H goes back to work.
This is crazy and I didn't think I would feel this way but I totally want a third kid. Seriously, if we started trying again in six months I wouldn't mind at all.
@rockyrollgirl, I'm right there with you. My almost 2.5 year old is driving me crazy while my newborn is easy in comparison.
@nobadwriting, that sounds so tough. I have enough trouble handling double crying when it's my 2-year-old and my one newborn. You're doing an awesome job just getting through each day.
