BF pillow recommendations

I have a Boppy and find it just okay for my newborn, sometimes it feels like its a little low(maybe bc baby is so little right now) I have seen some other pillows advertised, just not sure that I want to buy something without a recommendation. Any other good ones out there? Also if you have 2 floors in your house do you find it helpful to have a bf pillow upstairs and another one downstairs?

Re: BF pillow recommendations

  • I had a my breast friend and a boppy. The breast friend became too much work, you need both hands to Velcro it on. Nippy was easy to position with one hand while holding baby in the other. For awhile I honestly just used a couple of regular pillows, I found that the easiest thing for newborn positions. Two pillows on two floors is easier.

  • I liked the Brest Friend much better than the Boppy, but I still needed a pillow underneath it. I have a long torso, so that was the only way to get LO to the right level.

I just had one and carted it around as needed. Before too long I was nursing without a special pillow at all, and buying two would have seemed like a waste to me. YMMV!
  • I had the newer version of the boppy (dual sided), but found that a regular old gel foam pillow from Costco worked the best.

  • Jolly jumper boomerang nursing pillow.

Bobby and my best whatever were awful for me.
  • I've heard that these are awesome but haven't tried one myself: https://shugabebecouture.com/product-category/nursingpillow/

I'm thinking of getting on though since I'm due with #2 in January and I only used the Boppy for tummy time. Wasn't big enough for me for nursing.

  • I use a Boppy and like it, haven't tried anything else. I do have two, one in the nursery and one downstairs in the living room. Two is really not necessary, a regular pillow works just fine too...
  • I have a mombo (mambo?) It's like a boppy but it's not. I found it stays pretty firm on the firm side and soft on the other side, the boppy (i had for DS) went flat and useless after awhile.

  • I had My Brest Friend and Boppy. I ended up buying My Brest Friend when DD was about a week old and it made BFing so much easier for me. I bought the deluxe version that ha a little clip, so it was very easy to put on. I used it for the first few months and then switched to the Boppy. I did think having one on each floor was really convenient.
