Hair loss

Hey ladies. I usually lose a decent amount of hair regularly, but for the past few weeks it's coming out double what it normally does. I'm 7w. Anyone else experience this? Midwife says it's fairly normal but I was expecting to lose LESS.

As your midwife said, it is normal. I lose a very substantial amount.

Like you, I've always lost quite a few strands daily but pregnancy has certainly amplified this. Don't worry though I've talked to many women who say it all grows back

Last 2 pregnancies I didn't lose any hair at all (not even the normal amount) until about 1-2 months pp when it came out on globs. This time I'm losing it like crazy, so who knows?! Hormones do funny things.

Okay, up until I just read this...I hadn't even equated it to pregnancy! So glad I saw this! I thought I was just going crazy...I even changed shampoos! Smh. Wonder if it last through the whole pregnancy or just part? Everyone is different so maybe it just varies...

I loss a fair bit with my first pregnancy. With my second I didn't have the same issue. So far so good this time.

Oh it's terrible.. i luckily have very thick hair and a lot of it, I lost about an inch from all around my hairline. It eventually will grow back, but it's scary for awhile.

I lose a lot of hair as well. Last pregnancy I think I kept losing hair until about the second trimester, then it stopped falling out and by the end I had quite a bit of hair. It started falling out again around 4 months pp.

Losing extra hair was my first symptoms. It slowed down a bit for a week or so but I am still losing it like crazy. I am 9w4d today. I think it should slow down second tri.

I have super long hair and have always lost a hairball when showering. I am still shedding just a much when I shower.

This makes me feel better I started losing huge clumps of hair and didn't even think about it being connected to being pregnant cause I don't remember this happening during my first pregnancy
