Re: Fitting into pre-pregnancy clothes

  • @Lhalliburton‌ , is it the "Suddenly Skinny" camis? www.target.com/p/suddenly-skinny-with-self-expressions-women-s-firm-control-tummy-toning-cami-assorted-colors/-/A-12912020?force-full-site=1
    Yes!
Thanks!! Totally picking one up today.
  • I'm 3 lbs. lower than my pre-pg weight and fitting into my pre-pg clothes. I do have some extra flub, though, since I lost some of my muscle tone.

  • 3 weeks PP and down 22/30 lbs. I haven't really gone anywhere and if I have to I've been rocking my yoga pants and nursing tops. It's all I ever wear. It's hot so I'm not trying jeans anytime soon, and I'm still sore from my csection so stretchy pants only, I also have a few dresses and skirts I could wear if I needed to. But I have my sisters wedding on October 18th and I'd like to look fit, so as soon as I feel ok and get the go ahead from the doctor I'm hitting the gym hard.
  • 4 weeks PP. I've been back at pre-pregnancy weight since week 1 and I can technically "fit" my pre-pregnancy jeans but I have the most unflattering weird looking muffin top so I'm sticking with my maternity bottoms for now.

Any shirt that used to be fitted won't fit over my boobs now. To be fair, I have disproportionately large boobs anyway, so they've been pretty close to being to small in the chest area forever. Now that I'm breastfeeding, I'm ready to just toss them all and continue living in t-shirts and tank tops.
  • I'm having a lot of trouble with crazy sensitivity at my incision site from my c section and so I'm reluctant to try regular pants on.  I think it's from my "pooch" that I had pre-preg that rubs where the scar is.  That said, I dropped just below my pre-pregnancy weight at exactly two weeks, but things are definitely not where they started, that's for sure. I think I'll wait a bit before I try to get regular jeans back on, I'm not that much of a glutton for punishment.

I did just get a compression girdle to help pull my pooch back in, and it's actually absurdly comfortable- the snugness is making my lower back and hips feel better, it's just a b*t*h to get into for the bathroom with the higher waisted undies thanks to the bleeding.

Has anyone tried the belly bandit? Worth the money? I tried one on the other day it felt supportive in my back.

Edit: nevermind going to try those target compression tanks!

  • I am fitting into my clothes. 10 days PP and I am back to my pre pregnancy weight. All the clothes I've been wearing since I got home from the hospital are my pregnancy yoga pants and tank tops. The yoga pants are falling off of me and the tank tops I intentionally bought, when I found them on sale, at my pre pregnancy size and those look huge on me. As far as my pre pregnancy clothes, they all fit but are starting to fall off of me because I was in the middle of a weight loss journey when I got pregnant both times. Looks like I'll be purging my closet yet again at the end of the year.

  • This LO was #3, and sadly I think my stomach isn't going to go down much more than it already has - it's mostly gross, stretched out skin at this point. Oh if I could afford a tummy tuck!

2.5 weeks PP and I haven't even tried to put on my prepregnancy pants. Also, DD was 10mo when we conceived DS2, and I never lost all the weight with her. I would like to lose 30lbs before DS1's birthday in October.

  • None of my shirts or dresses fit because of my HUGE boobs :(( . From size A to DD for now while my boobs are adjusting. My boobs are a large and the rest of me is a small. I still have a pooch tho one week postpartum and third kid so I'm not super comfortable wearing small yet because it just makes me look pregnant.

Also struggling to find tops/dresses that are easy to nurse and keep from being a milky mess in at this point. The only pants I've tried are the normal ones I wore during pregnancy with a belly band. They're a bigger size and last time I tried four or five days ago I couldn't get them buttoned :/ .

I still have about 13 lbs to lose til I'm at my pre pregnancy highest comfortable weight, plus the boobs are ridiculous, so I'm ok with where I'm at fitting in pre pregnancy clothes wise for now. Probably should stop eating all the foods I couldn't or wouldn't eat while pregnant though :D .
  • Wanting to follow up... if you're not fitting into pre pregnancy clothes are you still wearing maternity or getting some transitional clothes? I'm sick of being frumpy! Yet not fitting into pre pregnancy clothes because of this tummy even though I'm at pre pregnancy weight :((

Thankfully it's still hot here so I'm wearing a lot of dresses as they are very forgiving. Shorts and capris I'm still wearing maternity :(. I'm sick of my lack of options though. Once it gets to jeans weather I'll probably buy a pair or two that fits since I assume my normal stuff still won't fit.

I can fit into pre-preg tops but my ass took a big hit during this pregnancy and I'm not getting back into my old jeans anytime soon. I've still been wearing some maternity stuff because it's the end of summer and I'm not spending money on clothes to wear a few more weeks.. But I'm excited to do some fall shopping lol

Glad I'm not the only one! Good idea about fall shopping!
  • I'm anxious for sweatshirt weather to get here so I can throw on a hoodie whenever I have to go out in public instead of feeling frumpy in my t-shirts with my belly and huge boobs.

I can fit in my jeans but they're not as big as they were before I got pregnant. My hips expanded after DS1 and I'm wondering if they did again this time. I'm not sure I would fit in some of my old jeans even if I lost another 20 pounds.
  • I'm still in maternity clothes mainly because I'm too scared to try on my prepregnancy jeans. I've got that pooch from the c section still there so even though I'm close to prepregnancy weight I doubt they'll fit. But the good news is I'm cleared for exercise as of today so let the weight loss journey begin!

  • At 5 weeks PP, I couldn't fit into anything. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose at that point (maybe 15 lbs) but my hips were really wide and I couldn't fit into any pants/skirts that were fitted in any way.

I didn't want to have to buy new clothes, so using that as a motivation, I joined Weight Watchers (for nursing moms) and lost 10 lbs over the last 4 weeks. I can now fit into the majority of my clothes. I also started tracking my hip, thigh and waist measurements, which was almost more gratifying than the weight loss, because without really exercising, I saw a big change there.

With DS, I hung onto the last 5 lbs until I stopped nursing and then I dieted to get it off once I didn't worry about affecting my supply. As long as I can fit into my clothes, I don't care so much about the weight at this point.

  • I am 6.5 wks pp. 6 lbs from pre pregnancy weight but huge belly still. I can button my pants but there is a muffin top that's not appealing. cleared for exercise today. can't wait to get this to budge. I had 30 lbs to loose before pregnancy so I am going to try and get rid of all 36 lbs.
  • I'll be 7 weeks PP tomorrow and I'm back at my prepregnancy weight, but my stomach is pretty squishy. I can squeeze into my jeans, but just because I can get them zipped doesn't mean they fit.

I've been back and forth between my looser regular clothes and a few maternity pieces.

I prefer to nurse in button up shirts so I had to buy a few bc my porn star boobs won't fit in any of my old button downs anytime soon.

  • I'm nine weeks out now, and I haven't tried on my jeans again. I've lost about five pounds with 10 to go before I hit pre-pregnancy weight. I've been working hard at it, but I just don't lose weight easily anyway.

  • I've lost twelve pounds since the week after birth - refused to check my scale before then, but total have lost twenty nine, and have plateaued at six more to go. Where can I find this nursing moms weight watchers @ellasmella ?

Can fit into a few of my pre pregnancy bottoms, but as PPs have said the muffin top is out of control. I'm wearing flowier pre pregnancy size tops otherwise my boobs are crazy in most of my pre pregnancy fitted shirts.
  • Weigh a little less than before I was pregnant but this damn muffin top won't go away. 2 kids has apparently ruined me lol. Tired of feeling gushy though *Sigh
  • I must say this makes me feel a bit better, i still have some weight to lose but am kind of stuck and although i have veen cleared to workout when i do its still really sore (dr. Had to cut through my abs during my c section to get LO out) There are a few pre pregnancy pants i "fit" into but like a lot of others, the damn muffin top!

My ass isn't exactly in its best shape either.. lol

  • It's just regular Weight Watchers, but when you are filling out the profile, be sure to indicate you're nursing. You get a bunch more points for nursing. I didn't end up using the extra nursing points and it didn't seem to affect my supply at all (LO was still gaining really well), but it was nice to know they were there if I needed them.
