Jergens Natural Glow while pregnant

Is it ok to use while pregnant? I'm almost 27 weeks so they baby's organs are done developing. I have read two sides to this but was curious what others thought? And I also use a night cream that apparently has retinol in it. I just started that a month ago but the whole time before I was using one from Garnier. I just want some piece of mind! Thank you!

  • I personally don't use anything that is not 100% pure natural or organic... my favorites are 100% Pure vitiman E oil & Sierra Sage Organics or locally made lavender body butter.... I think it is important to make sure that you are using healthy skin and  hair products, as well as vitimans. Some of these items may seem over priced but they really go a long ways, and are safe for your baby.

  • Ok thank you! The night cream I used has retinal in it and I had no idea you shouldn't use that. My primary dr said it's ok BC it's topical but now my OB just called and said not to. Now I'm concerned of course. I have been using night cream before I even got pregnant. Shouldn't they put warnings on things for pregnant women!!!
  • They should but I am sure that would affect their profit, companys do not want you to know that the additives in there products can harm you or your baby... Regaurdless babies are very resilant... but I would rather avoid all the this and that talk on these chemically packed products and opt for somethig that is natural and safe.
  • I think it will all be ok but I will def discontinue use. Thanks again!

It will def be fine as the amount of retinol used in these topical creams is almost nada (just enough to say it's in there). But I agree with PP, I stuck with Eminence organics while pregnant to avoid any unnecessary petroleum products.

  • Thank you. I was worried for a while that I had done something inadvertently wrong. :(

  • Agree with PPs; however, you are incorrect in saying your baby's organs are done developing. They will continue to develop the remainder of your pregnancy. G/L

  • I used Retin-A and Hydraquinone and as soon as I found out I was pregnant stopped using it. Retinol is a very diluted form of Retin-A so I wouldn't worry about your use of it. It's good that you stopped using it, but I just wouldn't worry about your prior use of it is all. I do miss my products though as they worked wonders! But my friends loved getting my almost new bottles (at least $100 per bottle) as free gifts since I can't use them for awhile :)
