Migraine help

Does anyone's perifial vision (on either one side or both) get alittle wierd before the onsight of a migraine. Worried if I should go to the er or not or if it's really not that serious. I have a horrible migraine though (forehead, left side over my eye and left ear pain) .the only thing that really worries me is when the migraine Happened I couldn't think straight at all. I'm better with that now but what do you all think? I hate seeming dramatic and my husband thinks I always am :/

Re: Migraine help

  • Thanks for getting back to me. I don't think I would be as worried if it wasn't for the confusion . That was really scary. I could not think at all. My daughter was asking me simple questions and it's like I had no idea what she was talking about. Luckily that subsided but the migraine is still here. I just hope it's not going to turn into anything serious since I never get migraines or headaches so this is very new to me.

  • If you don't normally get migraines and you really felt confused, call the dr.

I agree with pp, my vision gets wierd when I get migraines but I get them regularly. If this is out of the norm for you, and there was some cognitive impairment, I'd be safe and at least talk to a doctor.

  • Yea and seeing as I had a eeg done on my brain less than a year ago that came back positive I'm really worried. The doctor didn't elaborate much on the results because I had no other symptoms at the time and my cat scan can back normal but now I'm really worried about the Tia. Thinking of going to l & d this morning but what can they do for me since I'm pregnant?
  • I agree, go to the doctor, ASAP. I had a migraine earlier this week and the doctor asked me to come in immediately, just to be safe.

I've had migraines my entire life, but this one was especially bad and I could not focus, think or even move without wanting to vomit or start crying.

All was fine, thank goodness. If your tests come back normal, I would recommend seeing a chiropractor who specializes in pregnant women. The ONLY thing that helped my migraine this time was seeing my chiropractor. I swear by chiro care.
  • I am in l & d but they are just giving me meds and doing a urine test. Not sure what answers that will give but was told to follow up with my doctor if I keep getting them since my blood pressure is okay. So who knows now:/
