39 weeks in a couple days and No sign of baby!

Sundays is my week marker..39 weeks..my little girl is not trying to make an appearance! At all! No dilation, efacement, contractions, mucous plug, bloody show.. Nothing! I thought i had dropped but I guess not.. And i don't knw that i'll be able to tell when I do... Getting stressful, just because I'd like A sign-Any sign! And my doc has not even checked me for dilation or anything.. So at this weeks appt I'll make sure to have her check... I know it's best for baby the longer she is in there, but i am basically full term and ready!

Anyone else similar situation???

Oh so sorry for you....

I was due yesterday and have been dilated to 3cm and 70% effaced with contractions for 4 weeks so you could see how badly I feel for you that you aren't even full term yet and upset your baby isn't here...

With my first I was not dilated or effaced at all @ 39+4 weeks and went into labor at 40 weeks on the dot. He never dropped until active labor and had my bloody show the morning I went into labor. Some women walk around 3cm dilated for weeks, as @NinjaZia‌ said. It means nothing. Baby will be here within a few weeks at the most.

39 weeks today and no sign of anything. He is sitting high and is setting up permanent camp in my ute. I'm fully expecting to go past my EDD. Pretty sure a ton of the ladies here are in the same boat.
I am uncomfortable as fuck and drinking a glass of wine. About to jump in the bath. Do what you can and enjoy the peace while you have it.
Eta: typing is hard because I am angry.

Ack, I'm trying really hard not to play the pain Olympics here but OP look at the bright side... Baby is still in there cooking which things will hopefully be that much easier whenever your LO does make an appearance.

DUDE I'm not dilated either! High fives yo! We have strong cervices that are protecting our babies until they are ready to make their entrance into the real world! I would totally just be happy about being healthy and pregnant until the doctor is concerned about whether or not you are progressing. Every body is different, maybe you will get to be a special snowflake who hardly notices until you're in transition like the evil bish is my labor class was with her first.

@Carmalarm I seriously feel for you, I wish I could give you ice cream or a doughnut.. or wish upon a star and put you into labor. (And anyone else who is sitting past their EDD)

Fact of the matter, for all the 'ladies with..."sass". :-q
I made a statement abouy MY situation, is it bettermor worse then anyone else? Is it similar to many? Possibly. But itnis My situation at the moment. If you're tirednof "hearing"( reading) the same stuff, then just Don't. It's what I do . I read aloy of the same stuff by many, simple questions, simple statements/situations/annoyances... And if it is repetetive- i dont feel the Need to write something bitchy... I just read onnnnnnnnmmmmmn
Soooo, with that being said... Good Luck to all of you! We are all pregnant ( i think) and have different AND similar concerns / excitements!

Atleast you seem to have a good attitude about it! Relax and enjoy yourself! Soon baby will be here.. No matter what we say, it is Going to happen... Just depends on how long we have to wait! And how long we have to "suffer" cooking up these little ones.....

Oh i have no choice But to! None of us do..(unless being induced) i love being pregnant, even on bad days, it feels like forever but won't be.. And we get something amazing in the end... Indef just want my babes and I healthy... I am excited to meet little one.. I guess time just needs to fly! Til AFTER labor preferrably LOL

OP- I sympathize with you. Really I do. I'm 39w+3 and I'm labor-sign-less. I can't wait to meet this baby. But.... Instead of crying to others about my pains, lack of patience, and other ramblings like you have above I simply remember my years long heartbreak journey to get pregnant, the September mommas with their angel babies from our board who would long to still be pregnant with healthy babies, my friends on the board with outside babies who need extra attention because they did come early, and my dear friends from the TTC board who would be pregnant for 44 weeks if you told them they could conceive. Then my ramblings mean nothing to me anymore. I adjust my body pillow, pop another Tylenol to sleep, and rub my belly to talk to baby. These girls on here aren't being rude or snarky or hormonal.... They just get the bigger picture.
