Hello!
I've just came from my appointment with OB. He made the evaluation of my pelvic bone and found that my baby's head is placed too low to be 33 weeks old, so I could go into labor in any time, he asked me for 10 days of rest with my legs lifted. I was already feeling that my baby was too low.
At first I was thinking: "everything is gonna be ok", but few minutes later I started feeling sad and worried that my baby could be preterm. I also started thinking about the things that I still have to do before labor. The doctor didn't want to worry me, but he even talked about lung maturation options.
Have anyone passed through this? Could you make it until your due date? Anyone in this situation right now? How do you feel about it?
Re: Preterm birth (need moral support)
Try to find some solace in that if you do go into pre-term labor, at least you are far enough along that more than likely, everything will be okay, even if LO needs to spend some time in the NICU.
I'm a little confused about the doctor's assessment--did you get an ultrasound or did the doctor just feel your pelvis for baby's position? I have had two midwives feel my baby (at 32 weeks and then at 34 weeks) and tell me that her head is "WAY down there." When I asked if that was a concern, both said without a hint of hesitation that it wasn't.
Are you having contractions or any other indication that labor may be near? If not, I would try not to worry too much at this point. FWIW, I carried my last pregnancy really low, too, and was told his head was super low during an ultrasound at 35 weeks (but again, that this wasn't a concern). I carried him to 38w3d.
I hope you can relax a bit--take care and rest!
Best thing to do is follow advice. Do you have any progression cervix wise?

Well, is my first pregnancy, I can't say yet exactly when I am having a contraction, but I felt my belly too hard a couple of times and the doctor identified that as contraction. He felt my pelvis to know if it is adecuate for vaginal birth, then he found that baby's head was too low. Thank you for your post.
I'm sorry to hear this. I hope all goes well and you end up delivering nearer to full term.
((creepy hugs)).

If I were you, I would ask for a transvaginal ultrasound to get a better idea if this is truly a cause for concern. Tons and tons of woman have low babies and carry to term or go overdue. Good luck!
