Induction delayed

I am 41 weeks and was supposed to be induced tonight. When I called to see what time I could come in, they said I couldn't come in for another few days possibly because they do not have room. Is this normal????

    Very normal, my induction was delayed a day because L&D was too busy

    My hospital was trying to kick me out early after delivery because they were so busy.

    It sucks that you're getting delayed! Maybe call your ob and see if the Dr can't pull some strings and get you in earlier?

    Mine was delayed 4 days because they were so busy. I was supposed to check in at 8pm on a Wed. They called me at 1pm that day and told me not to come until Sunday. I cried...I was so frustrated!

    It happens, it's frustraiting but happens. In cases where inductions aren't medically urgent (where either you or baby are in danger) they'll call and ask you to wait. Labor and delivery only have a certain set of rooms..
