Hey peeps Am I being crazy thinking I can feel the baby already? I'm 14 weeks tomorrow. Too early right? But I swear I'm feeling a little tuggy fluttery feeling. Possible?
Well I am 14 weeks and a few days, normally all I can feel is gas but yesterday I felt maybe a kick? Some sort of abnormal movement right in the middle of my lower abdomen. Just one and it was very much not gas. It was right after my husband and I were rough housing lol this is also my first so all I know is iv never felt anything like it. Hopefully I'll feel it again soon it was really cool!

You wouldn't be able to feel an actual kick at this point. It's very hard to distinguish baby from gas. You may look back and be able to say "yup that was baby!" But right now, as a FTM, it's most likely gas.
You will feel baby eventually. It will happen. And then you'll get a huge kick to your rib or crotch, or your baby will decide to somersault when you're 40 weeks and you'll miss the gas bubbles lol.
Yesterday I was laying on my back and I felt something that I can only describe as a small bee buzzing. It's not something I've ever felt before, but I'm not exactly sure it's baby. I'm only 12w4d and I'm a FTM so I'm waiting for when I know for sure to compare it to what I felt last night. It is very exciting!!!
I don't understand why it matters. Maybe you are, maybe you aren't. How are we supposed to know? My ute goggles didn't work on TTGP and they still don't work here.
I think it matters and especially to a first time mom. It's the first time they get to experience a real connection with their baby besides what they can see on an ultrasound. This is my second I still feel excited and it matters to me to be able to experience my baby move. It's a connection and a reassurance that the baby is doing good in my womb! I keep seeing statements like "why do you care its so early on?" and especially if you're a second time mom or more, it's like you KNOW it MATTERS.
But it WILL happen. No one can tell someone else if they're feeling baby or not. Sure it's exciting but at this point there's not much you can do. And there zero anyone here can do.
It very well could have been even as a first time mom, it is possible to feel early movement. I was 16 weeks with my first... no one questions anyone with a high pain tolerance. .so who's to say that you're not just more sensitive to lighter touches? I believe it is not that hard to differentiate between gas and quickening. If it was low in your abdomen and felt like a flutter or butterflies, it could very well have been the baby The ladies are right, they can't tell you what you felt..but that doesn't mean you didn't feel what you thought you did!
I felt DS around 10 weeks. It was like a buzzing. The dr confirmed it was DS (I asked her prior to a scheduled ultra sound at 10 weeks because it alarmed me). If you keep feeling it it's probably the baby and not gas. Personally I've never had buzzing gas

Gas and baby do feel very similar in the beginning so I think it is kind of hard to differentiate. I have even had twitches and bubbles post partum that felt a heck of a lot like baby. If you want to be convinced it's your kid, that's fine too. No one cares but you.
You may not care, and others may not care. But some of us do. And don't mind, and like to answer and be a part of these questions, no matter how many times they've been asked. And I feel it's fine either way

I had this exact buzzing feeling around 14w the first time but once I knew what real kicks/movement was, I knew the buzzing was not it. I still wonder WHAT that was because i wasn't like any other feeling.
After I had my son, I had "phantom" kicks for a long time. In order words, you become more in tune with movement/gas in that area that it feels like a baby kicking. It made me wonder if some of the "kicks" during pregnancy were also just gas lol
I started feeling the baby #1 around 18 weeks, H could feel around 22 weeks. Mainly because of anterior placenta. This time around placenta is posterior. I felt small movements (like rolling around) at 11-12 weeks. H can feel the movement at 13-14 weeks.

I totally understand that. But a lot of first times mom's don't always know when things are suppose to happen so that's why they ask here. But for someone to say why does it matter it totally matters even if it's too early to tell.
A simple board search would have given her the same information she received here. Or at the very least put this in the random or symptoms threads so the board doesn't get clogged up. Most of us have asked silly questions, myself included, but asking one that's covered at least once or twice a day is a bit much.
Honestly I think it varies from person to person, there is no right or wrong answer as to what you felt because YOU felt it and only YOU know your body. I know personally I am very much in tune with my body I know when I ovulate, I knew and felt exactly when I got pregnant and know when something is wrong and when it's right. I don't need a chart/ time table or a calendar to tell me. I wish I could say this for everything in my life but if I were to be an expert in anything it would be with my own body and myself. So with that being said trust your instinct and confirm with your obgyn if that helps
Also your baby starts moving between 7-8 weeks so it depends on how big or how small your uterus is and how sensitive you are ya know. just because statistics show one thing does not necessarily mean it represents everyone in the entire world. Everyone is different and will experience pregnancy differently

Also,.if you know this, what's with your recent question about weight gain?
And why are you being a jerk? I asked because I wanted to know if anyone experienced it? Is that a problem?

QFP.. You felt it when you got pregnant? What, praytell, does that feel like? Srs question.
Well honestly it felt like a weird pinch. within about 14-15 hours I went to the restroom and had a pinkish brown discharge on my underwear. Very small amount and that's when I knew I was pregnant. It was pretty weird but that's just me.

I second that - you're not alone!! I had a pinching sensation on one side of my body for 24 hours this time. It was nothing like period cramps. Some people are more in tune with their bodies. I'm very aware of what's going on in my body because of my ulcerative colitis.

Because if you can understand that everyone experiences pregnancy differently, wouldn't that encompass weight gain? If it helps, the answer to that question is a resounding YES.
Lol ok well if you want to act like an idiot go right ahead what you do is not my problem. Oh and to answer your question- that is why I did not ask a simple YES or NO question. I wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience. Oh and if you want the definition of SIMILAR- resembling without being identical. Thank you very much for your concern on my post lol looks like I'll have to clarify next time
@Ashlee692 I feel very sensitive to my body as well. I told my husband one month before we conceived that I feel like my body wants me to be pregnant. I know when I'm ovulating too. In fact, right after we had sex I said "I'm pretty sure we just did it right when I was ovulating... Guess we'll find out soon!" Then we proceeded to watch baby mama lol. Sure enough, that was the one!!! It's pretty exciting and now I'm so curious about feeling movement. I had my 12 week u/s today and could not believe how much baby was moving! Last night was the first time I thought I felt something different, but I'm not totally convinced it was baby. That's gonna be such an amazing feeling the first time we feel a kick!!!

Again - some people are more in tune with their bodies. Just because you also have UC doesn't mean you're as in tune as me. I pay close attention to my body because I was sick with my UC to a point I was on PIC line for a few months - I watch for every little symptom so I can adjust to prevent myself from getting to that condition again. I don't understand why you feel the need to dispute what I feel in my body.
My feelings, they are so injured by the silly troll who has zero understanding of the human body, AND thinks they can control the responses they receive on the internet. Slow clap. You win this round...
Ok well when you go through nursing school and get an education hopefully you will be on my level rofl! I am satisfied, and I'm sorry your feelings are so unbearably hurt slow clap to you
Wow some people are cranky. Sorry if I clogged up the feed or repeated threads. Didn't mean to inconvenience anyone. Maybe don't click on repetitive threads or ones that look silly to you? I'm not a forum person per se, just excited to be in community with everyone here. Thanks to everyone who responded with an actual response - sharing your own experience, what you've heard or read. Appreciate it. Hearing other people's experience both normalizes experiences and shows how unique this game is.

Lol wow you felt a biological process so minuscule that it's impossible to be felt from the outside. How about that!

LMAO do you really think you're the only nurse in here? HI-LARIOUS
Also wtf kind of nurse throws their education in anyone's face? I know your type. I've worked with them. Don't give nursing a bad name.

What is this a contest? "You're not as in tune as me!!!1!1!1!!!"
I have duodenitis, gastritis, acid reflux, vocal cord dysfunction, cluster headaches, and heart palpitations. Do I win?
You know how many people like you came in the TTGP boards claiming they were "in tune with their bodies" and ended up getting their period?
Andplusalso: there isn't a single CONFIDENT nurse out there that ever feels the need to brag or belittle others because of their education. It would serve you well to find some humility, especially cause you asked a really dumb question @Ashlee692
What the fuck happened in here? Who are these people? Stop telling others how to post, and get involved with this community before you flip out and tell active members how to respond or not respond.
And a big eye roll and lol at the people who are just sooooooo in tune with their bodies. Yea, ok, you felt it when you got pregnant. Uh huh.
