Re: *~September Sapphires Check-In~* (Sept. 3)

  • Hey @myfirstraspberry, thanks for the check in. How are you doing?

I'm frustrated. My test day would be Friday. I feel so conflicted. On one hand I feel like I'm having pregnancy symptoms, nausea, really sore BB, I'm doing a major cooking/cleaning binge, tired, hot, weird cramps and twinges, a little dizzy/light headed...sort of how I felt before. But at the same time I'm really bitchy and have a backache which is my usually AF symptom. Plus I keep feeling like AF is here and then it's not. So I just don't know.

So I'm a hot mess. I'm just sick of the 2WW. I just want my answer. If it's a BFN we're not doing anything again until November.

I am not ready to handle the 9th. At all. :(

Hope everyone is having a better week than me.

  • Hi everyone. Hugs all to that need them. Thanks for the check-in, @myfirstraspberry. Hope everything goes well tomorrow.

@kaynix21 ((hugs)) When are you going to test?

Things are coming together for our move back to the States. A lot of annoying frustrations/people have been getting on my nerves, but a lot of really nice moments are coming up as well. Mostly I fluctuate between panic and deep denial.

This past weekend we took a trip up to the Pantanal. It was amazing! Plus, I think I actually o'ed while we were there. (Then again, my temperature spike could be attributed to the crazy heat.)

Sending you extra ((hugs)). I am so sorry you are struggling. It is probably the results of a perfect storm of hormonal stuff and your upcoming EDD. Bad timing. I've been through a couple EDD's now and they are not easy. If you can, try to clear your schedule and give your self some space to grieve on your own. Be gentle with yourself because you are doing the best you can. I am thinking of you and your LO.

Here are some cute animal hugs that I want to send you.

  • Thank you for the check in @MyFirstRaspberry‌ . You did indeed see my levels are still up- they canceled the SHG last week when they was the results. They app were about 1700 (sigh). Luckily my family doctor got ontop of it all when I called him, consulting an OB and radiologist to piece tower the best plan. Since my u/s shows no retained tissue (only the thickened lining), and my lining has been shedding (has gone from 1.7mm to 0.7) they feel like things are moving, just slowly and monitoring is the best option.

  • @kaynix21 Sorry--poor reading comprehension regarding your test date. Thinking of you. GL.

@LauraO11 I'm so glad to hear that things are moving in the right direction, albeit slowly.

@MyFirstRaspberry Yes, we saw a ton of animals--giant otters, a giant anteater (he was sort of scary), and an ocelot. I feel pretty good about our timing. It was vacation, after all :) .
  • Thanks all for the love, and @myfirstraspberry thanks for the cute animal hugs, they made me smile!

DH will be gone on EDD so my best friend knows what up and plans on doing whatever I want, if I don't wanna be alone.

  • Special Hugs to all the Sapphires this month.  We can get through this together ladies.

AF finally arrived on Friday.  We had quite a scheduling issue with our next IVF cycle though.  Originally, the RE wanted me to take lupron injections while we were away for our anniversary trip.  I didn't want to do that though because the idea of the trip was to get away from all this IF stuff for a little while.  The problem with waiting until we get back to start the lupron meant that I would be on BC for over a month prior to starting the stim meds and my RE thought I would be oversupressed then.  His next idea was to do luteal lupron instead of BC overlap but it would mean I would O whileon our trip and lupron and a possible pregnancy is not a good mix so we woud have to use protection.  I also dismissed that idea.  The compromise is I'm on BC for 10 days and then I'll stop get another AF (sucks they are so close together) and then back on BCs while we are away and start lupron when we return.  It basically amounts to a two week delay but my mental sanity needs this trip without IF considerations.

In other news, life has been super hectic.  We are still trying to assist with DH's aunt trying to get her affairs squared away after her husband unexpectedly passed away.  My mom's biopsy (she had a lump in her breast) was benign (such a relief).  DH's chicken pox have finally cleared up (after 2.5 weeks) and he is back to work.  It's been a very hectic few weeks!

QOTW: I would love to talk to animals.  I'm a huge animal lover!

@LauraO11 - That really sucks that you still have a significant amount of HCG in your system. I am so glad to hear of no retained tissue. Hopefully, time will fix the problem. I'm glad you are on your doctor's radar now. I hope they take good care of you.

@CallaLily30 - Holy scheduling batman!!!  Wouldn't it be nice if something fell into place and was easy for once. Wouldn't that be fun. Ugh!  I'm sorry you have to go through the ringer to get your meds worked out. I am proud of you for pushing to have an IF free vacation. Good job!

  • @kaynix21 I live in Paraguay, but in 8 days I'm moving back to Chicago. I'm so relieved to hear that you have a friend who gets it there to support you.

@CallaLily30 That's such wonderful news about your mom. Glad to hear that your husband is starting to feel better too. Cheers for having a plan, but whoa! Talk about complicated. Double on what raspberry said--super proud of you for sticking to your guns and having an IF-free vacation.

  • @eliida wow that's crazy! GL with your move!

  • Hey ladies! It's been a busy "first week of school" for me and I'm ready to try to get back in the groove with work and all that good stuff.  My RE now has a nutritionist on staff so I'm excited to meet with her this week (and also have my P4 drawn) on Tuesday.  I've been "low carbing" for awhile, but I'm hoping she can give me something new to try or less restrictive at best.

@myfirstraspberry:  Femara actually seems to have less side effects for me than Clomid did--except for horrible headaches. I hope you will do well on it! FX!
@eliida: Good luck with your move! Moving is stressful--moving to a different country is probably worse.
    @CallaLily30: Have a great vacation!

@superwife425 - Hey Lady!  Thanks for the info on Femara. AF just arrived so CD3 bloodwork on Wednesday for me... then hopefully start with Femara.

I hope the new nutritionist can provide you with ways to be healthy but not completely restrict your life. I know @CallaLily30 has made some major changes to her diet for IVF. It can be tough.

  • @superwife425 - My RE's office does have my on a super restrictive diet.  Gluten free and dairy free.  I have to admit I have been cheating quite a bit since my D&C while waiting for my betas to very slowly fall but I will be strictly on it again after our trip next week and before our next cycle.

Although I love eating gluten and dairy, I actually feel much better while on the diet.  My skin was clearer than it's ever been and I lost about 15 lbs (I put 5 lb back on since I've been cheating).  I definitely had a lot more energy but it is hard to stick with it.
