Baby Names

If two names start with vowels...

If DD1 starts with an E and DD2 starts with an A, does LO3 have to start with a vowel?  I don't have any names at all but I'm really not loving any of the vowel choices I've found (with exception to Isadore or Ichabod but DH will protest).

Re: If two names start with vowels...

  • They don't all have to start with a vowel, just because your first two do doesn't mean the third does. Just pick names that you love!!

  • Absolutley not.  The thought would never cross my mind.

  • If you happened to have three names that began with vowels, it's no big deal.  I wouldn't go out of my way for any names to fit a theme at all.

  • You are over thinking it! Would you have the same thought if both kids names started with a consonant ? (Now I can't use a name that starts with a vowel?)
  • I agree with pp's, vowel names wouldn't stand out to me as a theme with only two kids. Use whatever you like!

  • I am not a fan of forced sibset names generally, but Isadore/Isadora is really lovely.
  • No. I wouldn't have ever thought of that. OP, you may be overthinking this. Choose a name you love whether it starts with a vowel or a consonant. Don't limit your name options because you feel like you have to conform to a vowel theme....because you don't have to.
