6 days 'til 1st appt - but I feel it!

It's 6 days until my 1st appt - finally! And in the interim, I'm anxiously awaiting to listen to a heartbeat or view an ultrasound, but just today I've felt that my uterus has moved :)

Oh, and 12 weeks and 2 days!

  • Do you mean you can feel the fundus above your pubic bone?

  • I'm 12 weeks today and I can feel my uterus just about my pelvic bone. It's very exciting.

I have long been a proponent for the legalization of medicinal orgasms. I think men should be required to get certified, just like for CPR and First Aid.
    I. Love. You.

    No Really. LOVE. <3;)

    Did you know...

That the term "hysteria" means "wandering uterus"? Back in the day, people believed that women who were over-emotional, or "hysterical", got all crazy because their uteruses (uterii?) were migrating aimlessly throughout their bodies. The little bastards would block things up and cause infections and diseases, wreaking utter havoc on the poor woman.

The cure? Put a baby in that womb and it would stay in place!

So. Realistically. Maybe it did move, but that indicates a whole different problem.

...or did you mean that you're feeling sensations such as stretching and cramping in your abdomen? Because that also happens.

The other cure for hysteria? Orgasms with vibrators. That shit is medicine. Look it up.

They have some really fucked up antique medical contraptions at the NY Museum of Sex. It was a horror show.

  • Sorry ladies, just meant that I feel that my I've feel that my uterus (or the fundus - if my terminology is incorrect) has started shifting upwards, and I can feel it above my pelvic bone as well. DH and I decided to look for it yesterday. Wasn't sure if we were crazy (queuing comments!) :) so I decided to read in multiple books and sources and it seems pretty normal as well - but I could be wrong I suppose. Did find this graphic.

Thank you for returning to this thread and accepting our snark without getting all butthurt because you feel as if we were being mean. Not enough people do this. <3 And good luck at your first appt!
