January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
@BootsOrHearts Ahh the good ol fashioned drop everything on the floor game. You're right, so cute until you've done it a hundred times hahaha! That little man is going to be running around in no time!!
@starmile Hiiii! Of course you can jump right in! Congrats! That first week is just bliss, isn't it?? That's soo cute that your dog is protective like that! I was worried about my 55 lb mutt too (husky, Dalmatian, corgi mix) but he is much better with the baby than the tiny 10 lb doxie.
Also there was some good breastfeeding advice in the check in last week. I remember the nipple pain going away after a couple weeks once she really got the hang of it.
When DH and I went on a long weekend getaway, we completed a six-mile hike in the mountains. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and very proud of myself.
January PAL siggie challenge; Good advice:
We have a " happy spitter" too. A was spitting up after every meal, so I cut out dairy to see if it made a difference and it did. She still spits up, but not as big or as frequently. Pedi said its nothing to worry about and I didn't have to cut out dairy since there was still great weight gain and no apparent pain from the spitting up, but not drinking milk is easier for me than cleaning up spit up as often as I was.
Milestones: 8 weeks today. Lots of smiles and cooing.
Challenges: He has his first cold, thanks to DD. I hate seeing him all stuffed up.
Funny/cute stories: Poop talk ahead warningDS had a poop strike starting Saturday morning and he didn't poop again until Monday morning. It was an epic blowout and it happened before DH and I had a chance to have coffee. The 2 of us trying to deal with that and DD at 6:30am on Monday morning was pretty hilarious.
QOTW: Labor Day marks the end of summer. Besides giving birth (for some of us), what was the coolest thing you did this summer?Well I am in the birthing club, so that is pretty much my summer. The first half I was huge and uncomfortable and the second half sleep deprived with a newborn and toddler.
ETA: formatting was very strange and hard to read
@mamalamb10 You're not old!! That is adorable that you and your husband recreate your first date every year and even more adorable that Z was able to tag along this year!
@slensic Welcome! It's wonderful to have you over here! Boooo to colds
@YuMMMy721 Welcome!! We have lots of new babies this week. How exciting!! That's so cute about the twins fighting over his paci! You tell em Levi! And how fun that you're going on a Disney cruise! I have been on many cruises but never Disney. You will have a blast!!
Milestones: Anna is one month old today! She was due Aug 23, so I keep thinking I could really still be pregnant and instead we've had her a month already.
The best part of summer has been ignoring the back to school commercials. I teach middle school but I haven't given it a second thought since I am not going back until January.
first son stillborn 7/20/13 at 39 weeks due to Acute Fatty Liver of Pregnancy
