It really sucks trying to get those to work... but PP is right, it will show up on older posts if it is working. I am on my phone right now, but I remember when I did all that, I tried editing the ticker from the profile area of the website, and that did nothing. In the community area, hover over your picture in the top right and click on whatever it says underneath that. Then you will see a page that has a signature settings link (or maybe it says signature preferences?). Edit it there or it won't work, at least in my experience.
