Hi ladies, I think my baby's working on his 6 week growth spurt, and it's killing me. Since Sunday he's wanted to eat every 1-1.5 hours during the day and taken very limited naps. He's waking earlier in the night than he had before to eat, as well. We're on Day 4 of this and I'm exhausted and bedraggled. DH tells me to sleep when the baby sleeps (if I had telekinesis, I swear there'd be blood spilled whenever someone tells me that), but baby's longest stretch is right after his morning feed when I need to pump.
So the rest of the day it's a buffet for baby every hour to hour and a half, with catnaps and lots of crying on his part and my part because I'm so exhausted. So give me hope that the end is in sight, how long did your baby's growth spurt last before things got a little more normal again?
I was hoping to try to get him more solidly on the EASY routine this week, since I'd been very laissez faire about a routine, but now I have no idea when I can try that again.
Re: How long do your baby's growth spurts last?
I'm seriously thinking about pre-buying young adult clothing for them so that 14 years from now, this is not a problem.
Ok, now that's a joke lol
She's going on 7 days without a bm, but the doctor isn't concerned, and she's only eating every 2-3 hours and only wakes once per night.
There growth spurts are no joke! I think next one he reaches iI'll have to remind myself that he does not have some strange jungle illness and that it's normal. All that crying really gets to you though! Hopefully his is over soon!
