Hello all. Wanted to do a quick intro... Been on the bump about 2 years now. Have a beautiful 15 mo old DS. Been married 5.5 years. I'm considered AMA at the ripe old age of 36.

I have a diagnosis of Unexplained Sub-Fertility (changed from Unexplained Infertility once I got pregnant with my DS). DH and I have both gone through the rounds of testing with positive results. We tried for 3 years with DS.

Here we are trying again. Our time is short - DH is 42 and worried about his age. We've been trying since Feb to no avail. I am now on my 4th (and final) round of Clomid. This last week has been extremely difficult. I was late... hope started to creep in. I tried my best to temper it because I know delayed bleeds are a side effect of Clomid, but my cycle had been so consistent. I got a BFN on Friday. I feel like I've barely been keeping it together since then.

Cycle started on Sat without intervention needed. I take Clomid days 3-7 (50mg) and I'm on day 5 of my cycle. I am trying to keep positive and hope and pray this final cycle will work.

At any rate - sorry for the gloom... it's been a rough few months, but a very tough last few days. If this last cycle doesn't work, not sure what our next steps will be... if any. I just really needed a place to get some support and hopefully can add some support to the rest of you as well.

    I'm sorry about the BFN. That's always so disappointing :(   Hope your stay here is short.

    Clomid cycles 7/14 & 8/14= BFN
    IUI # 1 (clomid) 8/27/14= BFN
    IUI # 2 (clomid and follistim) 9/25/14= BFN
    IUI # 3 (femara and follistim) 10/23/14= BFN
    IUI # 4 (femara and follistim) 11/20/14= BFN
    12/12/14- saline sono shows two polyps
    2/15- two uterine polyps and "schmutz" (RE's words) removed
    8/15- surprise BFP! Beta #1 70 Beta #2 150

    Good luck. Just curious, after so many failed Clomid cycles is there a reason they haven't tried increasing your dosage?

    dx PCOS in May 2010, begin metformin
    Two failed clomid cycles (made lining too thin)
    Started acupuncture while saving for IVF in Sept 2011
    Add herbal infusions to the mix in Dec 2011
    Hoping holistic approach works!!!

    BFP on April 2012 at 11dpo
    Meepy Man born on Jan 2013 - Hip Hip Hurray!

    Ready to start ttc #2 April 2013, but plan to be an extended BF'er
    Back on metformin Aug 2013
    Restart herbal infusions Sept 2013 - currently drinking nettle, oatstraw, and red raspberry leaf
    DS weaned in April 2014
    Taking a break from herbs and just riding the healthy train.  
    Planning medicated cycle end of summer.  FX I get KU before then!!!

    12/3/14 - first u/s - two gestational sacs; 12/17/14 - two healthy heartbeats (132 and 134)

    @potatocastillo - my bloodwork has indicated I'm at the right dose which is why they haven't increased it.. I'm guessing??

    That's interesting. Do they do mid cycle u/s to see how many follicles you're getting? I've done many Clomid cycles and never had to do b/w on any of them, just u/s.
