I refuse to believe this. I think anyone can create parallels like this with any story and it's really about what is interpreted by the reader.

I love Harry potter and I just found it interesting. Didn't mean to tick everyone off about it. It's quite obviously just someone's take on it (someone who had too much time on their hands) and not the real truth. But whatever. I thought it was an interesting take on the story.

So I probably took that too seriously, but whatever.. The article was really reaching for most of the comparisons, and throwing in violence on top of mental illness irked me. I just don't think they author has a very good understanding of mental illness.

Sounds like the article was written by someone in a mental hospital, trying to project his/her situation on well-loved movies to give him/herself a measure of normalcy. See what I just did there?

No worries @ugoglencoco. I was annoyed with the writer of the article, not you. I think I just have such a soft spot for Harry Potter that I get annoyed at things like that.

Oh I agree @ugoglencoco‌. I've actually read that before. And it is interesting. But Harry potter is basically my favorite thing of all time so I will believe what I always have. and I love it
