High-Risk Pregnancy

Leaked almost all fluid. Scared.

I'm 20 weeks and 6 days and I've had bleeding on and off the whole time. About 3 weeks ago I had a lot of bleeding and it seemed really runny. 2 days ago I had an ultrasound and the specialist said there was a small amount of fluid left. I'm on bedrest now and drinking my body weight in water every hour. The doctor seemed to think there was only a small chance if stay pregnant long enough for the baby to live outside of me. I'm mostly at risk for infection and then they will take her out of me right away. I need to know if there are GOOD outcome stories with low fluid. Have people gotten past 28 weeks? Have people been able to build fluid levels back up? I'm so terrified of losing this baby. I have 2 boys and I already love this baby girl.

  • Thank you so much. I have to keep hearing positive things. My mind keeps going to all the negative and I need to keep having hope.

  • Please stay positive, are you on hospital bedrest or just at home? If your at howl make sure you stay completely on bedrest and yes it's very possible . I leaked almost all my fluid at 26 weeks and kept her in until last week at 31 but there were women in the hospital that had been on bedrest since 20 -21 weeks and were doing fine but you need to keep taking very good care . Positive thoughts your way I'll pray for you and baby
  • I'm at home right now but will be admitted to the hospital at 24 weeks. Today was a better day. I had visitors and things to occupy my mind instead of thinking about baby.
  • Thinking of you angieddaniel <3 positive thoughts your way
  • Yay keep that baby cookin
  • You guys are in my prayers!!!! Stay positive and keep doing what you are doing
  • Glad to hear things are still moving along for you V-Day in a few days hun you can do it!!
