So many thanks to mrsmoline for texting with me and giving the update to the board! It has been so much fun having her for a labor buddy, although I was the one in labor on her due date.

I'll try to keep this short and concise, but we all know how that goes! Essentially I shot two weddings back to back, followed by two sessions, grocery shopping and getting my 5 year old ready for Kindergarten, resulting in losing my MP and contractions off and on over 3 days. I tried laying low, lavender EO applied to my stomach, as well as baths, but unfortunately there was no stopping them. Every time I woke up throughout the night from Sun/Mon I had a contraction and started timing them at 8:00am on Monday morning. They continued throughout the day, from 9-10 minutes apart to a few randoms that were 4-5 minutes apart.
I prayed throughout the day that we'd be able to have my DH bring DS1 to his first day of school and that my water would break, so that I'd know for sure that I needed to head to the hospital. Both things happened, after my water broke in bed at 11:00pm. DH quickly gathered our three kids, bringing them out to the van and buckling them, while I proceeded to leave the house without shoes, a bra, or my diginity, as I wore DH's shirt "My drinking team has a hockey problem" with wet hair and no makeup, hah!
Labor was hard for me this time. I knew I wanted to go med-free, but with three previous experiences, I knew the amount of pain I was in for. We were admitted around 12:00am, at a stretchy 4 and confirmed that my water had indeed broke.I labored while standing and swaying like I have throughout past L&D and my contractions quickly settled into 4-6 apart. Not too much was going on, so my DH laid down for about an hour while I sang through the Third Day station on pandora. At about 2:30 I woke my DH up because my contractions were 2-3 min apart. I was so scared of the pain, but I knew the positions I needed to get into to really move her into position. At about 2:45am I told DH to call my friend who was going to photograph the birth, but DH suggested waiting until they checked me at 3:00am to know where we were at. I agreed and was discouraged to hear I was only at a 6, but could feel things were going to get going, so told DH to call her anyways.
Within 25 minutes I was at an 8 and I started to get vocal through my contractions, as I couldn't handle them through slow breathing anymore. The Dr was called down, but it wasn't until 3:40am that she popped in to say "Hi." I was ready to push even though I was only a 9 and absolutely felt in complete control. The problem was, no one seemed ready to have the baby, I sure wasn't ready and I again was scared of the pain. I thought the Dr was staying in the room and about lost it when she said she was going to step out. I told my nurse and DH that I was holding myself back and the nurse read between the lines and called the Dr back in. That's all I needed to hear before I mentally just let it go and accepted what was coming. I started relaxing my body and pushing, as the Dr walked back in and my daughter moved down. It felt like one long continual push, but she was born within 2-3 minutes, with me screaming the entire time. Hah!
I so wish my MW had been there, because the Dr jokingly said "I didn't even do anything!" and I completely agreed, hah. I was SO relieved when my daughter was born and honestly my first thoughts were "No one can make me do that again! I'm never having another baby!" And unfortunately, our birth photographer missed it by minutes.
All that said, here is our Naomi Ann. Weighing 7lbs1oz, born at 3:49am 9/2/14 at 37w4d.

After she was born my DH left at about 6:00am to trek it back to our house to get our son ready for his first day of Kindergarten. I was able to facetime with my son on the way to school and then DH facetimed him walking up and into the school. I was SO glad that DH was able to be there and that I was able to "be with" my son thanks to technology!

And our crazy family of 6!
