Itchy?

I apologize if this has been covered but in the last few days I have been extremely itchy. I'm 2.5 weeks postpartum. The tops of my hands and feet are unbearable today and I'm ripping them up with all the scratching. Other areas have been itchy too but today it's been all about the hands and feet. I considered that it could be hand/foot/mouth but I think that's supposed to be the soles and palms and for me it's the tops. I also think that my feet look fatter than normal today...possibly swollen? Anyone else deal with this? Is this hormonal postpartum stuff or do you think I have something else going on? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

    Hand foot and mouth is the palms usually and with blister like sores....im guessing its not that. The swelling itself sounds normal PP and sometimes swelling causes otvhes because our skin is dry and stretching. But I would place a call to your doctor in the morning just to see what they think. Pregnancy and PP is all so weird everything seems to fall in a "normal" spectrum. Good luck!

    I agree w pp, my feet were swollen bad right after delivery and for a couple weeks after and they were so itchy! Massaging and working the extra fluid out helped a lot. Not sure if ur hands are swollen but of course it's always good to ask your dr, GL!

    I was really itchy pp as well but it was my face and neck, went away around late in the 3rd week, no idea what caused it

    Thanks ladies. No, I'm not on any pain meds. It's weird because the itching comes and goes. This morning I haven't had any issues at all but yesterday I thought I might scratch my feet right off. I have a call into the doctor's office but of course he's out of town this week so I am waiting for a call back. Little boy didn't sleep at all last night so maybe I'm just too tired to notice.  :-S

    My nipples itch! But scratching them is definitely not an option...they are so tender!
