Father's Day must be different in certain countries, I'm from Australia and here it's in September
But books are a really cute idea, I'll have a look around for some special dad ones
I got my husband a Vader's Little Princess book and a outfit with vader head on it that said my dad Rules .
The book idea is good. I got my DH a tshirt from etsy that says "This daddy belongs to ( baby's name)" to wear when she's born and a box of cigars to pass out.
I got my husband a Father's Day card (for fathers to be) and I bought him a movie that he watched as a kid but happened to not have on DVD/blu-ray. (The Sandlot)
We didn't do gifts for each other for mday\fday. For father's day we went to a park and went walking on the trails for a few hours. It was a nice day together.
When I was pregnant last year I didn't do a gift for SO. This year, DD and I made a card and all three of us went to to dinner. I taped down a piece of paper and let her go nuts with paint and her hands. Then I wrote "I (heart) Papa" once it was dry. Simple and he loved it.
DH loves the "Little Golden Books" because they remind him of his childhood. So I bought him The Pokey Little Puppy and wrote a poem on the inside cover for he and LO.
