Baby hates the car - ideas?

DD HATES being in the car - either moving or standing... She's fine hanging out in the car seat, so it's definitely the car :( She literally screams every single time we have to go somewhere. Any success overcoming this with your LOs?

    a pacifier works well for us. my LO  is 11weeks now so he can be distracted by toys which is great!

    DS hated the car when he was really little.  We just tried really short car rides and slowly built up from there.  I second PP that toys for distraction works too.

    My LO cried every time we went somewhere until I hung some toys from the car seat bar. I think it gave her something to focus on, rather than just staring out into open space. Also, I started opening the hood to her car seat. It gets to be like a million degrees in there! She's usually roasting when I pull her out.
