Pooling blood and swelling in thighs

I started to notice discomfort and my thighs were tender to the touch about a week ago. At first I thought it was a blood clot, but realized it's the same in both legs. At the end of the day now my thighs are so swollen and sore I have trouble even bending my legs. My doctor suggested compression tights and blamed "the joys of pregnancy". Has anyone else experienced this? Almost 32 weeks and this has been the worst part! I don't stand a lot and if sitting, get up and move around or stretch often. Any other suggestions?? Thank you!!

It does not happen to me, but I have a co worker that is 34 weeks pregnant and she is always talking about how it happens to her.

I have this in my left leg kind of, but it's more that I have giant veins that are swollen, protruding and tender to the touch. I also have vehicles vanished in my legs now and my lady parts (attractive I know

) it all hurts pretty bad by the end of the day and I have 12-13 weeks left!!!!

Ugh! It was so bad this afternoon, I called the doctor. My appts are normally first thing so they are not as bad. By 3 pm I couldn't flex my left foot it was so swollen. They checked for a clot and fortunately found nothing. So it's feet up in bed after work for now!
