Trouble TTC a Sibling

Nervous for appointment

Well, today is cd5 of cycle 15. I have officially been trying for a year and have a doctors appointment scheduled for the 18th of this month. It is just with my OB for a check up and referral. Are there any tests you would ask your OB for, or would you wait until you get into an RE? I wish I could go straight to an RE, but insurance has silly rules.

I'm nervous about this anyways, but we are also in the middle of some really big life changes. In 2 months we will be moving to a new state for a new job opportunity for DH. It's exciting but also stressful and pretty intense. I just feel like all of this is hitting me emotionally at the same time!

Re: Nervous for appointment

  • I have no advice, but I totally get why you're nervous. Hope it goes well!

  • Hugs for your first appointment! I remember being super nervous but they made me feel SO much better.  Like, "Hey, we are going to get your pregnant. Period."  Will you wait for RE in your new state? Or start where you are and then find a new one? Good lucks!!

  • (hugs).  I was so nervous for my first RE appt.  It was like admitting there was a problem, although we already knew there was one.  Now I love my RE and he's been really good with helping us get a plan in place.  I had my OB start blood work ahead of time for me but we had RPL blood work we needed done.  I'm not sure what blood work they would do if you pregnancy loss isn't the issue.  Hope you can find an RE that is a good fit and get in soon!

  • @lilmac2929‌ I will wait to see an RE in my new state. We are starting the moving process about 3 weeks after my OB appointment, so I will get a referral for an RE in Ohio, where we're moving to. That way I won't have to have 2 different REs.

Thanks so much ladies for the responses! It is so nice having people who I can talk to that know exactly what I'm going through! I really appreciate the support!
