Spaghetti: it's what's for dinner...again.

I have had thee worst food aversions this pregnancy (no, no, much to your dismay this is not another symptom post, but rather a glimpse into my out of whack life right now). The aversions are so bad that I gag while cooking my daughter dinner, so she has had spaghetti, followed by leftover spaghetti for the past 3 nights. The poor kid wants a grilled cheese so bad, but I'm having a real aversion to butter and I just can't. She looked at the spaghetti tonight, looked back up at me and simply said "it's okay mom. I know you don't feel good" and started eating. My God I love that kid (and feel like an asshole) Anyway, I was just wondering if there were any other STMs feeling super guilty right now?

  • I don't have aversions just can't seem to get up the energy to cook a great meal...
That was the cutest response from your daughter :)
  • The first 12 weeks I could barely step foot in the kitchen. I swear it smelled funny and I would gag everytime. It is getting better now and at 14 weeks I can cook anything except meat. Still can't handle touching raw meat. I absolutely love to cook and bake. It is something my mom and I always do and it is therapeutic to me. It has been hard not to go cook whenever I get bored. Luckily, my daughter likes sandwiches and chips.
  • Sweet kid!
I feel bad for my H and SS. I have had such bad food aversions that they have been eating what I want to eat for like 6 weeks now. My wants and likes change daily.
I'm greatful that my husband has been doing all of the cooking. (He did most of the cooking pre pregnancy too) he is a great cook!
If he didn't cook we would be eating takeout everynight because I've had no desire to cook anything for quite some time now.

  • I feel ya! I'm having a hard time eating anything, so if I want something, I really reallllly want it. Tonight my husband brought home the wrong pasta and I cried. It wasn't my proudest moment -_-
  • I'm right there with you. This time around the nausea and food aversion has been pretty hard core. I actually enjoyed eating my Mac and cheese today, the first time I liked something in weeks. Now I'll probably eat it the next two weeks.
  • Mmmmm butter.

    Your kid sounds adorable.
