snack ideas needed

I am getting to the constantly hungry stage. I am constantly going to high carb foods that are not good for me. Or cheese, which is plugging me up.
Toss some snack ideas at me to give me some different ideas for snacks. What are your favorites?

Try a snack that includes protein and a complex (not simple!) carb. That has helped me to curb my appetite and avoid cravings! Eggs with whole wheat toast, celery and peanut butter, hummus and veggies, almonds and cottage cheese, yogurt and flax seeds are some of my favorite snacks!

I keep baby carrots, celery and sliced bell peppers on hand for a healthy veggie snack. For sweets I try to keep cuties, sweet apples and grapes. Grapes are my favorite and my DD loves to share them with me. We also love fruit smoothies at our house. Whatever frozen fruit you want, fresh spinach, kale and a whole banana. Add coconut milk and a little honey if you want it sweetened, and you have a filling, delicious and healthy snack. HTH

We buy those P-3 protein pack things from the store. They have a little cheese, a little meat, and some nuts. Those seem to work pretty well, though it sounds like you're wanting to veer away from dairy. Granola bars are good, and I always keep a bag of pretzels in my car, because I tend to get nauseous when I'm driving. My favorite thing is to just keep around a bag of almonds, though. And I am definitely on the apples and peanut butter train. Or celery and peanut butter. Or veggies and hummus, if you don't mind smelling garlicky. Just try to get some protein in!

I buy those apple slices and caramel packets meant for kids lunches. I'm THAT lazy. It's so convenient! Canned V8 is good and filling too, if you're on the go all the time like I am.

Grapes, pineapple, yogurt with granola, almonds...can't think of any more right now, but these have been my go- tos lately won't mention the countless other things I've been eating since we're in the same boat with the carbs...but they're sooo good!

Almonds, peanut butter (alone or with apples or celery), veggies, yogurt, trader Joes has peanut butter stuffed pretzels (yum), I love hard boiled eggs but that would cause me to plan ahead which is unlikely. Granola or protein bars, string cheese... I want everything.

Peanuts, cheese cubes, PEACHES, yogurts, granola bar, cherry tomatoes, carrots, celery. This sometimes doesn't work so I end up with a V8 tomato juice or fruit juice with some crackers. And then my "unhealthy" snack is olives.

These are all great ideals! I've been eating veggies and hummus and it's been hitting the spot. Also I love the almond butter from trader joes, that on apples, bananas, and on toast with a little honey when I need something sweet.

Thank you ladies. These are awesome ideas. I forgot my dad dropped off some venison jerky. I will start with that. I have some new ideas for grocery shopping.

If anyone wants a super simple recipe for hummus at home, message me. mine is about 5 ingredients, though you can add whatever you want, and costs infinitely less than buying it at the store. I whip it up all the time in about 5 minutes or less including all prep and cleanup.

I've been loving pecans, almonds, and craisins (yes, cranberries) as a healthy snack. Also fruit, apples with almond butter is a favorite (I prefer almond butter to peanut butter).
