Re: Weekly High-Risk Checkin -- week of 9/1

  • 1.  How far along are you now? I'm 23 weeks

    2.  Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? I have our Fetal Echo on Thursday that I am a little nervous for. But everything has looked really good in our other two ultra sounds, so it's probably just me being a worry wart.

    3.  How are your symptoms? Have no real symptoms of anything, sooo.... good I guess....

    4. GTKY: What is your favorite fall treat? Apple Crisp! Fresh out of the oven, with vanilla ice cream and hot apple cider. Now, that's all I want.....

  • 1.  How far along are you now?

26 weeks today! Third trimester here I come!

    2.  Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc?

I had my regular OB appointment this morning. Uterus measuring right on track, actually gained 5 pounds since my last appointment a month ago, but I'm still down 5 pounds overall from the beginning of the pregnancy. That 6th month growth spurt actually hit me this time! :)  I also confirmed that due to the type II I'll have an induction no later than the first week of December if I haven't gone into labor by then, so I now can start making firm plans for maternity leave.

    3.  How are your symptoms?

My blood sugars are starting to creep up a bit, but I was expecting it, honestly. I was on glyburide with both girls' pregnancies, so I figure the MFM office will start me on meds in the next couple of weeks, possibly this week depending on how my sugars do the next few days.

    4. GTKY: What is your favorite fall treat?

Halloween candy I sneak out of the girls' stash. :) I'll have to be good about it this year, though.

  • 1.  How far along are you now? 25 weeks

    2.  Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? New rheumy appt is next monday; looking forward to that since joint pain has been getting way worse this last week.

    3.  How are your symptoms? Sore hips, leaky boobs, huge belly... yeah, I'm sexy these days ;)

    4. GTKY: What is your favorite fall treat? Pumpkin pie with whipped cream, although @hpharding has me drooling over the thought of hot apple crisp and ice cream!

  • @hpharding I want apple crisp now too! :) GL on the echocardiogram. We had ours a couple of weeks ago and it went great. I was the same, no problems up to then, so I wasn't expecting any.

@haleyusf Third trimester sexy is what it's all about. I almost peed the bed before I could get up this morning to make it to the bathroom.

  • 1. How far along are you now? 27 weeks.  Hello 3rd trimester

    2. Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Had my glucose test on Friday and passed.  However there was protein in the urine sample (symptom of my auto immune flaring.)  It wasn't much but still will have to be monitored.  I'm upset about it, I thought I was in the clear.  Hopefully my next appointment won't show more protein.

    3. How are your symptoms? Fine other than allergies.  Damn ragweed.  What is everyone doing for fall allergies if they have them?

    4. GTKY: What is your favorite fall treat?  You ladies are all making me hungry but I have to say I agree with @haleyusf pumpkin pie is the best!

@goatlady12 I have chronic and seasonal allergies and allergy-induced asthma, so I'm on Zyrtec, Flonase, and an inhaler year-round. I'll have to go off the Zyrtec after I deliver and breastfeed, though.

    2.  Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Last week's appt showed a strong heartbeat. No ultrasound though :(

    3.  How are your symptoms? I am hungry and tired. Have put on 7 pounds so far.

    4. GTKY: What is your favorite fall treat? Starbucks whole wheat spinach square. It is like a flaky croissant covered in creamed spinach.

  • 1.  How far along are you now? 26 weeks!

    2.  Any updates - doctors appointments, ultrasounds, labwork, etc? Today is my birthday and I got to spend it doing my glucose test. That's wasn't fun, but I was also able to pre-register at the hospital, so that's one more thing crossed off my list.

    3.  How are your symptoms? Same. Insomnia, feeling huge, stuggling with the heat.

    4. GTKY: What is your favorite fall treat? Anything with pumpkin makes me happy!
