Weeks: 15

Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): IVF w/ICSI / Prenatal, Vit D, Fish Oil, Synthroid, GasX

Appts/Rants/Raves: Kinda bummed that we don't get an u/s next week, just the doppler.

QOTD: Now that we are all out of the 1st tri, are you feeling a little more secure with this pregnancy? Looking back, what was the worst part of treatments (or infertility in general) for you? I'm feeling more secure each day. I'm guessing I'll feel better when I can start actually feeling the baby move. The worst part of IF for me was the thought that it may never work and being jealous of everyone who was able to have children so easily. Even though we got lucky, I still feel jealous of others who can snap their fingers and get preggo. I'm hoping that starts to fade in time.

Weeks: 15w5d

Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): IVFw/ ICSI. Synthroid, PNV, Folic Acid - finally done progesterone, woo hoo!

Appts/Rants/Raves: The headaches have been killing me lately, and I got sick this weekend so I'm slightly miserable and feeling crappy. I see my OB next Tues, hopefully all our b/w from 1st tri screening came back good and I hope we can book our a/s!

QOTD: Now that we are all out of the 1st tri, are you feeling a little more secure with this pregnancy? Looking back, what was the worst part of treatments (or infertility in general) for you? I'm starting to feel more comfortable about this pregnancy overall. IF was the hardest thing I have ever dealt with. The uncertainty of whether anything will work, the emotional roller coaster, the financial aspect stings, but right now (specifically today), it's watching my IF friends who are still trying and I just want this so bad for them, I want them to have success with their treatments, I wish I could pray it into reality.

Weeks: 15 weeks

Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): FET #2 still taking Synthroid... I don't think I will ever be off of it

Appts/Rants/Raves: Next appt. isn't until the 19th. I like that I am finally on a regular schedule for appointments now... Rant: I have a cold and I can't stop sneezing (read snissing). I have been trying to sneeze close to a bathroom so I can duck in quickly if I have too..

QOTD: Now that we are all out of the 1st tri, are you feeling a little more secure with this pregnancy? Looking back, what was the worst part of treatments (or infertility in general) for you? I finally felt secure enough to announce on facebook but I am still very cautious about this pregnancy. As in, I feel like any minute it could be over or it was just a dream... The worst part was the uncertainty of everything. After our initial "fresh cycle" was canceled, then our first frozen one failed and we lost an embryo during thawing... I just felt like it was never going to happen. I was super surprised that the second FET worked!!

Weeks: 17 today!

Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): IUI w/ injects / Prenatals & extra Folic Acid

Appts/Rants/Raves: Had my 16w scan.. took the envelope home to DH & we're having TWO PRECIOUS BOYS!! I never in a million years would have guessed two boys. I swore they were girls. I will now have weekly cervical length checks. My only symptom are headaches. @jaytee16 They're terrible, aren't they??!! What are you doing to help? I'm confessing coffee almost everyday.

QOTD: Now that we are all out of the 1st tri, are you feeling a little more secure with this pregnancy? Looking back, what was the worst part of treatments (or infertility in general) for you? I'm def. feeling more secure. I think it helped to tell people bc they are excited for us. So talking about showers, nurseries, and registries makes it real. I'm glad I can put my guard down a bit. I think the worst part for me was staying positive. It really was sad to think that we may never have biological children.. that thought is something my friends never had to think. Looking back, we were SO SO lucky. But while I was in it, the emotions really got the best of me.

@MissEm15 - I tend to get them at night, when I don't want caffeine though, so I try to just suck it up, or take a Tylenol if needed. I have been trying to make sure I'm drinking tons of fluids, but being sick all weekend and congested has only made it worse - I don't recommend that! And congrats on two boys!!!

Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): FET#1 PNV & Folgard

Appts/Rants/Raves: Add me to the headache list, I started carrying an extra pair of undies in my purse for when I sneeze/cough too hard and a panty liner doesn't do the trick. DH started calling me Señora PeePee Pants.

QOTD: Now that we are all out of the 1st tri, are you feeling a little more secure with this pregnancy? Looking back, what was the worst part of treatments (or infertility in general) for you? The emotional breakdowns had to be the worst, infertility taught us how to support each other in ways we never thought we would have too. I have times where I am really secure and others where I am paranoid they are going to come too soon.

I get my headaches in the morning.. they wake me up at like 6am & just pound wahhhh!

More secure than 1st tri - yes. Secure- not yet. Thats the PgAL side of me. The worst part of the treatment was the first appointments after cycle start when they told me how few follicles I had.

No I do not feel secure yet. Not until they are in my arms. With my previous losses I feel at any moment this could all be taken from me again. I hate feeling like this.

3. Having a hard time with constipation. Really need to stay on top of fiber and drinking water!! You would think I learned my lesson from last time I was in so much pain lol.

QOTD: Feeling a bit more secured. I know anything can happen at anytime. Shopping for maternity jeans is making this real

The hardest part was all the waiting we did. Switched clinics, retake mamm and then on the waiting list for a year only to find a donor that was positive for something then more waiting. Almost 3 yrs to finally cycle. We fought a lot. We jumped straight to donor eggs and never batted an eye but now I'm like...he/she won't look a bit like me

I never saw pictures of my donor as baby or adult. I'm fine but sometimes it bothers me.

Weeks: 17w5d

Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): Tirosint, prenatal vitamins.

Appts/Rants/Raves:

Last apt was 8/29...It's a BOY! Also did the blood work portion, but haven't heard back yet... Does anyone know how long this takes?

QOTD: I feel better every Friday (that's my week change day). But honestly, I just want to get to 25+ weeks so that I know my baby will be okay. One of my high school friends had a micro premie at 23 weeks and that sweet girl is doing just fine. It's terrifying, but I just want to get to 25+ so I know we'll make it. Thankfully my IUI worked the first time, so I feel like I cheated the IF train. I didn't have rounds of disappointing results and it wasn't an emotional roller coaster (except for that 1 month). I so admire each of you that persevered for months and years.

Weeks: 16w1d

Meds: just prenatals & vitamin D

Appts/Rants/Raves: Next appt isn't for another 2 weeks for a regular OB checkup. I'm so excited to see all the baby junk reveals! Someone should do another poll in a month or so to get an idea of blue vs pink vs purple, etc on our BMB.

QOTW: I have been feeling surprisingly calm lately. I really feel like being treated like a normal pregnant person with appt timeframes really helps. I get anxious for all Dr appts, and these baby related appts send me into a tailspin the night before/day of. As for the worst part, definitely all the hurry up and wait. You're constantly at the mercy of the next lab result, ultrasound, follicles, eggs retrieved, blah blah. I've never hated my phone more. Wanting it to ring Dammit!! But don't ring and give me more.bad.news.

@chickyclg that's a great idea! I have been doing the pantyliner party for a bit now, but spare panties sounds legit.
@jaytee16 & @MissEm15 I've been getting terrible headaches too. Almost daily & I drink plenty of water, eat snacks, etc. Tylenol seems to take the edge off most days, but never clears them.

Weeks: I will be 18 weeks this weekend
Treatment/(Meds if still taking any): FET #1 (from IVF with ICSI and PGD)/ just PNVs and DHA
Appts/Rants/Raves: My last MFM appointment was 2 weeks ago. Growth looked good but my SCH was still there and had gotten bigger again. I was also having contractions they could see on the u/s My next OB appointment is tomorrow and then I see the MFM again on the 17th.
QOTD: Now that we are all out of the 1st tri, are you feeling a little more secure with this pregnancy? Looking back, what was the worst part of treatments (or infertility in general) for you? I am feeing more secure than 1st tri but not totally secure. I'll be afraid until the baby is in my arms- and then I'll still be scared of something happening to her. The SCH growing is especially making me nervous. The worst part of IF the first time around was being scared that I would never be able to have children. This time, it was the ridiculous amount of money we had to spend because my insurance didn't cover anything with my RE's name on it (no treatment, testing, b/w, nothing).
