At my shower, the host made a scavenger hunt. Teams of two started with a clue, that led to another clue, etc. The last clue was where I was hiding. First team to find me won. I thought it was a cool and different idea.
For my SIL's I tore brides out of bridal magazines and pasted celebrity faces (no hair) on the bodies and did a guess which celebrity bride game. It was surprisingly hard and funny!
I despise shower games!!! But....I recently was put in charge of games at my cousin's shower. We played bridal pictionary. Some of the things they drew: father Of the bride Something old something new.... Wedding vows Maid of honor Flower girl Honeymoon

At my cousin's baby shower we all wore pacifiers around our necks and we couldn't say the word baby or the person that caught us won our pacifier, so the person with the most at the end of the shower won a prize. It was really fun and if someone's determined they could go around trying to make the person say it.
You could get those huge fake diamond rings from Michaels and everyone wear them and they can't say the word bride, or wedding or something.

Also not a fan of shower games, but one that I really liked was a celebrity wedding photo game. A bunch of recent and older famous wedding photos were printed off with the faces whited-out, and the person who got the most right won a door prize. The pics spanned a lot of years, so it wasn't easy for one age group over another. We used pics from the weddings of Grace Kelly, Lucy Ricardo, Kelly Clarkson, Ellen and Portia, JFK, Elvis, Jessica Simpson, Princess Di, Tom and Giselle, the Beckhams, the Obamas, etc... it was the only shower game I've really enjoyed.
So what if you don't know people, you are all adults who presumably can think of things to say to each other: how do you know the bride, where are you from, where do you live now, what do you do for a living... It's not rocket science, it's small talk. Shower games are definitely NMS, and kinda NOKD. Realize this is not helpful except to say, I'd skip them and let people get to know one another.
