If you use gas points from your grocery store. Money saving tip.

I shop at Safeway and earn points towards money off gas. I certainly make sure i use those points each month. 1$ off 25 gallons of gas is awesome. So maybe this isnt new to anyone but i wanted to bring it up because its something i didnt even think of. Most grocery stores give you double or triple points for buying gift cards. So we plan to buy babies r us gift cards to use to finish out our registry on some more things we need. Which gives us more grocery points too!

Anyone else have some money saving tips?

The only thing I learned the hard way with the gift card thing was DO NOT buy cards with activation fees. You end up not saving anything if you do the visa or master card type ones. Hubs had to point that out after I was so proud of myself. Then I felt like an idiot.

The only ones we really use are the Home depot, Petco, BRU and a few others for birthdays. I agree that the visa, mastercards ones are more work than they are worth.
