Getting rid of a cold fast?

I'm scheduled to be induced on Wednesday, and I just came down with a cold. FI and my DD are both sick too. I'm already trying to rest as much as possible, and I've been rinsing with a neti-pot and gargling with with apple cider vinegar. Any other suggestions to get rid of this cold fast so I don't have to labor with it?

    Plenty of liquids and rest? Vitamin C? Colds suck, just usually have to run their course. Hope you feel better soon!

    So many fluids- drink water, eat soup, etc. Vitamin C.

    I usually chop a lemon into quarters, dump honey on top of it and then pour boiling water over that, in a giant beer mug (I think it's a one liter mug). I drink as many of those as I can stand- I reuse the lemon as long as it still tastes lemony. If you weren't pregnant I'd say add some whiskey to it at night :)

    And sleep as much as you can, but that's kind of a joke being all hella pregnant and having a sick kid and man in your house. Good luck!

    @wrightpalomo if I wasn't pregnant I'd definitely go for a hot toddy right now!

    I am due today and I have a terrible cough for the last 3 weeks. Doctor said it's a virus that can last even more than 3 weeks and there is not much I can do about it... I tried literally everything to reduce the cough with no luck what so ever (lemon, ginger, raw onion, raw garlic, raspberry sirup, vick's vaporub, even acupuncture - maybe some of these will work for you). 
    I have no signs of labor so maybe my baby is waiting until I get better.

    I also am getting over a cold... Called off work on day 3 of this cold slept a total of 18 hours drank OJ and LOTS of water felt much better the next day sure I'm still dealing with the remnants of the cold but it's mostly bearable now I also watched my temperature as well
