Lactating early?

I'm a FTM, and I started lactating this morning. I am only 16 weeks. So, I asked my sister and mom if it was possible to be lactating already. My sister said its rare, but does happen. My question is, is anyone else experiencing this already and is there anything I should be doing?

Are you sure its not colostrum/pre-milk?

I'm really not sure, it's fairly clear and on both sides. My sister said colostrum would be yellowish in color.

It usually is yellowish - but I wouldn't worry about it. Just use some pads and mention it to your OB next time.

Mines also very clear its weird I noticed it last week.ill ask my dr on my next appointment a week from now on Thursday.

It is colostrum. Your milk comes in after baby (and trust me you will know when it comes in). Producing (or not producing) colostrum is perfectly normal. I would suggest buying some breast pads.

I'm a ftm and 18 weeks and this happened to me this morning also. I did some reading and most sites said usually more common in third trimester but can happen earlier. I'm still going to check with my doctor though.

Mine started last week at 14 weeks. My sister gave my breast pads to help. I am still going to speak to my doc about it.
