Where'd you get your glider??

Just got home from BRU and found out to get the glider I wanted in light gray would be 10-12 weeks. I'm 30 weeks now and while I know it wouldn't be the end of the world to get it close to or just after my due date-it would be nice to have it here this month.

So where did you gals get your gliders in short turnaround times? I want an upholstered chair in light gray myself. What did the rest of you end up with??

I got mine at bru, but it was a floor model that was marked down because the color was discontinued. We left with it that day.

I've seen a lot of gliders on amazon and I'm guessing at least some would have shorter shipping times.

I bought my rocker/recliner at Costco, but they had gliders too. In fact, I think I saw a gray one.

We just ordered ours from BBB. She said it would take 4 weeks to get in. We didn't get the upholstered recliner though. Those tend to take a little longer.

We got our glider on Amazon(free Prime shipping) and it was under $200 including the ottoman. It's one of the wood ones.

I know you're looking for a fast turnaround, but we got ours at BBB. We did a plain color (no contrasting trim). They said it would be 6-12 weeks. It came in about 6.

I got my glider from amazon and had it within 2 days because we are on Prime.

It is so comfy! It comes in a lot of different colors too.

@crizz13‌ probably because it's an in stock fabric for the one you want. I could get mine in tan quickly but I want it in gray. First world problems.

It's Dove gray. The brand is delta I believe and yea very comfy! On sale this weekend at target for $225! Walked in and bought it took home same day! No waiting

I am so jealous of all of you and your beautiful gliders!
To save money, we're just using a very old rocker, I'm hoping to get DH to at least out a new layer of paint on it, and I'll just try to add lots of padding.
Are gliders really that more comfortable than rockers?

Exactly! With Amazon Prime, you could probably request to have the drone deliver your baby IN the Glider. Win, win!

Got the first one from Target, it came in a couple weeks. (This was in 2012, when I had my son.) Just recently ordered this from Walmart for my son's room so we can still read books before bed, and we'll move the glider into the new baby's room. I ordered it last week from Walmart, and it'll be here next week! (I did free site-to-store pickup.)

I'm so excited for the new double rocker to arrive as I am NOT comfortable reading books in the glider any more. Also, I look forward to the day when both kids are sitting with me reading.

It depends on if you plan to nurse. I did nurse anywhere in the house the first couple weeks, but around 2-3 months of age I did most nursing in the glider. My kid woke up through the night till 17 months of age, and also had mega sleep issues 4-6 months of age, so I practically LIVED in my glider for periods of time. There is NO WAY I'd want even a wooden glider with a padded cover. I often would curl up in my glider. I wish I had gotten a recliner first time around. I considered it second time, but in the end decided to reuse my glider, and get a double rocker for my oldest's room.

I'd say it's worth a shot to stalk Craigslist, etc for a recliner or upholstered glider if you plan on nursing.

Pottery Barn Kids via craigslist. I got the glider and ottoman, crib (with all toddler rail and conversion attachments), and a changing table for $500. Even got the dark wood (Espresso) color I really wanted.

I was so lucky I could borrow a truck from my office and my manager came out and helped me load it up. She even took the glider and put it in her SUV for me to pick up later. I wasn't even planning on using a changing table, but now I'm happy to have it.

I just ordered the Birch Hill Swivel Recliner Glider from Wayfair (with a 10% off coupon) last night. We thought the ones at BRU felt unstable and like they'd break, so wanted to get something different but not break the bank.

Our nursery is also starting to feel pretty small (about 10' x 12') and we thought it would be tight with an ottoman, so having the recliner became really important.

It should arrive in 7-10 days. Hopefully we'll like it!

We got an amazing grey swivel, glider, recliner at Ashley. It fits me and my husband perfectly and we are tall but doesn't take up much room in the nursery. Very comfy! Here is a pic of it in the store.
