Heading to L&D

Alright so 40 + 5 and baby decides today is a great day to come. Just waiting for my SO to arrive then on our way to L&D in the city! Will post birth story later, not sure what's going to happen!

    Thanks for all the good luck ladies. I ended up being sent home unfortunately. Had terrible contractions from 2am until around 4pm when they discharged me. I wasn't dilating past 4cm. Was stuck at that and 90% effaced, -1 station. They gave me the "cocktail", about five pain meds to dull pain ect. Went home (2 hour drive there and back for nothing). So I'm upset but all I can do now is wait for the contractions to pick up again and hope either my water breaks or that I dilate quick enough to stay in and meet my LO!!

    I'm really surprised they sent you home considering you are an hour away from the hospital! You'll get more rest at home though, and you're not on anyone's timer. I bet with all this prelabor things are going to go pretty smooth & fast for you. Hope it picks back up soon for you!

    Thanks you two. I'm kind of upset though that my baby decided not to be an August baby. Does that mean I'm evicted from the August board now?! :(
