Looking for Barnes Jewish OB

I started on the IVF road and ended up naturally pregnant! We are getting referrals from our fertility specialist but wanted to get some feedback on here first. Any suggestions? We want to deliver at Barnes.

Are you looking for a Wash U physician or a private practice OBGYN who delivers at Barnes?

I have heard excellent things about several of the Wash U OBs from patients and a friend who went to Wash U med school, but was also told (and I didn't heard this firsthand, so I could be wrong) that you just rotate through the whole team and don't really have your own doctor, and whoever is on-call when you deliver will deliver you. But again, I would check this and not take my word for it.

I went to West.End OBGYN and was very happy with both physicians there (they now have three and I don't know the new one). Dr. Turner and Gray. Swa.in. both came recommended and I was very happy with my care and overall experience. Their office staff is terrible though, or at least it was 2 years ago. Their office is in the Highlands office park across from Forest Park. They refer to Wash U for ultrasounds, screenings and high-risk consults.

I worked OB at BJH and Dr. Gray-Swain is pretty popular among her patients and though I never worked with her personally, she had a good reputation among the nurses.

Thank you for your suggestions! We have decided to go with the Wash U group! Best of luck to everyone!

I am a patient at the Wash U group and love Dr. Laura Parks and the rest of the docs. I loved my prenatal visits. My sister is a resident an OB resident at BJH and she delivered me with Dr. Parks as her attending. Great care from these ladies!
